Dr.Cohen was very rude and rushes with his patients. He doest give you a chance to explain whats wrong with you!!!!!Its all about money with him.He said there was nothing wrong with me but prescribe me a prescription called Pamelor!!I hate him

Dr. Cohen was very rude. I was unable to remember certain dates due to a brain injury and he screamed at me and became angry. He was very unhelpful in my condition. His office vist lasted a minute or two. He would not answer my questions.

Biography

Daniel Cohen, MD, PhD, is a neurologist at South Shore University Hospital, where he has been chief of neurology since 1998. Board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology, he has a clinical focus on general neurology, including neuromuscular conditions, neuropathy, seizure disorders, stroke and the full range of pathologies of the brain and spinal cord. Dr. Cohen emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and has guided the development of South Shore s neurology department to ensure that residents of Long Island s south shore have access to world-class neurological care in their own community. He stresses clear and compassionate communication with patients and family members, setting aside plenty of time to explain treatment options and address concerns and following up promptly whenever questions arise. Dr. Cohen is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American EEG Society, American Physical Society, New York State Medical Society, Suffolk Academy of Medicine, National Stroke Association and American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Cohen graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He received a PhD in high-energy physics from the University of Rochester and completed his residency in neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He joined Northwell Health in 1984.
