Getting an MS diagnosis can be very scary, and I don't need my doctor to hold my hand, but she was just flat-out rude to me. If you don't like people don't become a doctor, that is a huge part of the job. I leave all of my appointments with her feeling terrible. Please see anyone else.

I cannot believe this evil woman works at south shore neurologic. She is the mose rude arrogant condecending person ever! I dont even know how she has patients! People should report her! Awful woman! Makes me sick! She shouldnt even be allowed to be a doctor! Nasty woman!

South Shore Neurological Associates in Islip NY and Karen Blitz Shabbir are VERY UNETHICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are looking for psychiatric patients and they are willing to create them themselves!!!
I went to see a neurologist how did I get a psychiatric evaluation A DEFAMATION TO MY PRIMARY??? AND I ONLY SAW THE BITCH ONCE!!!!!!
HOW IS THAT ETHICAL AGAIN???

She is the mosr rude condescending doctor i have ever cone across. I cant believe she is a south shore now. How she even had patients boggles my mind. Rudest woman ever and a liar.

I only knew just how awful she is as a doctor after she moved to a different practice. I then had to switch and found out what a true MS specialist does during an exam. She was great when I started with her many years ago, even though rude and had a chip on her shoulder, but through the years has totally neglected my care. What a waste of knowledge,

Dr. Blitz has all of the knowledge, but doesn't do anything with it during her office visits. She neglected my care tremendously. Thankfully she was leaveing her practice and was going too far away for me, so I had to change. When I went to a new neurologist, he checked me for things that she had never looked for, in addition to sending me for PT, which Dr. Blitz had never done, in spite of the fact that I always complained about my trouble with balance. She did not keep up with the blood tests, which are urgent while being on Avonex!!! A sorry excuse for a doctor.

Dr Blitz is an amazing doctor but her staff needs some work. Took me almost 3 weeks to obtain my results and they made me get the results on my own and to have them faxed over to them. They do not return calls

The absolute worst medical professional I have ever encountered. She is condescending & rude from the get-go. I am still in shock with how she spoke to my sister and I. Even the medical staff around her disliked her intensely. She seems to be a very bitter and unhappy person. It's sad because she has the medical chops, but her personality is far better suited for employment as a prison warden. She should not be in the healing arts.

I've been seeing Dr Blitz since my MS diagnosis over 20 years ago, and she has seen me through two hospitalizations and two new medications. She is an excellent doctor and human being, and if she's a bit brisk it's because she has multiple sets of patients to see to at different clinics and hospitals, and isn't a psychotherapist. She'll push you when you need to be pushed (like getting exercise or quitting smoking), and she can pick up on MS symptoms just walking back to the exam room. She is a thorough professional, as is Donna, her desk staff at the East Meadow STAR center. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about either of them.

she and the woman who handles the phone are condescending, they seem like they're ready to rip you a new one when it is clear you are just a patient trying to get information (nonargumentative). It bristles you somewhat because you shouldn't be expected to respond to critical tones because of other patients that may* have caused such brisk behavior... I would go somewhere else simply because everytime you call, you'll get an attitude... and when you need neuro analysis, that is the LAST thing you need! I put knowledge poor because people skills are not important for this duo so I simply don't trust their capable of errors, or simply presume to rush patient into making them BELIEVE they are 100% accurate regardless, know what I mean? ;)
