I'd never heard of a Physiatrist before being referred to Dr John. After numerous MVAs and several other injuries, all I can say is I've never seen a better specialist for any condition. Sure, he may not prescribe painkillers, but that's a primary care thing anyway.

Dr John is very knowledgeable. He saved my daughter.
We had a very bad experience with Sickkids (particularly with Dr Joel Fish). He wrongly diagnosed my daughter's problem. Unfortunately it went for months without any proper treatment from SickKids.
Finally, we were referred to Dr John by our family doctor. Dr John understood the problem and suggested the required treament. The pain what my daughter had for almost 1 year (due to the wrong assessment by Dr Joel Fish, Sickkids) had come to an end in 2 weeks with Dr John's treatment.

Just gives a list of exercises, never actually listened to the problems. My mother was with me and he was instructed her to take notes on his exercises like she is his personal assitnat and then proceeded to tell her how she doesnt know how to take notes and took over. Very rude. A second doctor in the same office actually did a few tests and found out I have loss to sensitivity and hot/cold sensations. I never came back for the follow up appointment as I felt it was a huge waste of my time

I've never rated a doctor but felt the need to rate this one.

My husband was referd to Dr. John because of a foot ulcer. I don't know how this man walks through the door without having to turn sideways his ego so large. He know everybody and everyone knows how great he is, hes the best, he know the best specialists and so on and so on. He checked for sensitivity and discovered my husband is hyper sensitive, he took a look at the wound but not really because he decided to debried a wound that had a massive infection in it caused it to spread even larger. While he is talking at my husband I can see my husbands hand clenched so I ask if hes okay and Dr. John responds he's fine he can't even feel it. My husband had driven his nails into his palms so far he was bleeding it hurt so much. He was left with a bloody open wound, the dr booked a follow up for 3m later, and told us to wash the wound with white vinegar. 5m later we are still dealing with the wound through a different dr because of how the infection spread, we didn't go back for a follow up and would never see him again. In all my years working in the medical field I have never seen a more unprofessional conceited specialist.

Dr. John is an amazingly caring knowledgeable doctor! I have been seeing him for almost 14 years. He has seen me through many of challenges and issues.

I can't say enough about this amazing Dr. Dr. John is kind and is so talented. His assistant is very kind as well. He is assisting me with my migraines and neck pain.

My experience with Dr John was excellent.
He has helped me manage the nerve pain and I am able to enjoy some good days relatively pain free.
