I really miss Dr. Fortin. He was the best! I remember going to see him for a scheduled appointment. He took one look at me and admitted me to the hospital at once. I now have osteoporosis and I have lost 4" of height. I am sure, without a doubt, that if Dr. Fortin was still my rheumatologist at Toronto Western he would have picked up on my height loss before I lost 4". I was very confident in Dr. Fortin's knowledge of Lupus and felt safe.

Dr. Fortin was the Best Rheumatologist one can ask for. He is one whom looked after me for over 15 years. I was first diagnosed as a child at sick kids and when I was transfered to the adult clinic, I was introduced to Dr. Fortin. Eve rsince then, he has help me and gave lots of hope and encouragement throughout my years of battling my illnesses. I miss him as a doctor as I have not been able to find any doctor to replace him for his ethical knowledge and professionalism. I wish him all the best in his new job/position. He is truly missed.

Was very sad to have him leave, now that he is gone, I realized how great he was, now that I can't find anyone to replace him. He practically saved my life. He knows his job and is very good with patients, even though he had a full work load every day...I miss you Dr. Fortin

Sigh!!! We miss you Dr Fortin!! Please come back to Toronto Western. An amazingly compassionate human being, a very knowledgeable doctor and despite the crazy work load never making you feel rushed. Never too eager to push higher dosage of meds, always thinking of long term effects. Only issue was: because of his work load urgent medical appointments were not easy to get even with a log of begging to the secretary. Wish all doctors were somewhat like him

He is not only compassionate but also attentive, thorough and very knowledgeable. An expert in his field. Really, not enough words to express what a wonderful doctor he truly is. The only Rheumatologist whom I would recommend.
