Dr Halman was recommended to me by my orthopaedic surgeon that did my Achilles’ heel. Dr.Halman performed rotator cuff repair( his specialty) on my shoulder. Everything is going great thank God he is a Master at his craft .

Dr. Halman is a confident and a professional Orthopedic Surgeon. I was really nervous and hesitant about my rotator cuff surgery, speaking to other medical professionals and friends who had this type of surgery, I got the feed back that wasn't positive. But after meeting Dr. Halman at his office, I booked my surgery for Nov 22, everything went well, I had no pain and my recover is going fantastic. Amazing job.

Seems to not have time for his patient. Was told to come first thing morning appointment 8 AM only to wait two hours in hospital waiting room . Comes across as being rude , curt and smug. Asked to bring medical x-ray / ultra sound results but he does not bother to read them, then comes with an inaccurate diagnosis . Only then reads the results when asked by myself why the ultra sound results are totally opposite of his diagnosis. His reaction most older men suffer from rotator cuff tears ???? Just after I was told I did not have any. I have been suffering horrific shoulder pain ever since the MVA and have not slept a single night due to pain . Explained that I had also suffered a concussion in the MVA . His response most likely I did not ? Came to this to conclusion with out ever seeing my medical file or even being asked what symptoms I was suffering from. BTW I was diagnosed by my family doctor as having suffered a concussion. Perhaps possibly one time may have been a good surgeon by reading other reviews but my recommendation are DO NOT use this doctor. I felt horribly demoralized after this appointment.

Dr. Halman is absolutely the best!!! I have had 2 complete shoulder replacement surgeries done and could not have had a better experience or outcome.

I always feel so comfortable and "at home" at HRH's Fracture Clinic. A week and a half ago Dr. Halman performed a trigger finger release procedure and I'm still waiting for the pain! He certainly knows what he's doing.

Dr. Halman is so personable, knowledgeable and caring. His teams in Fracture Clinic/2nd Floor Day Surgical Unit, as well as his assistant, Pierra are the best.

Kind, responsive and efficient. I underwent a right shoulder Latarjet and I am recovering extremely well after two months. This was my third shoulder surgery, a previous arthroscopic repair was unsuccessful. Incredibly, the pain I experienced after Dr. Halman's procedure was much less than my previous surgeries, despite it being an open procedure. I am glad I placed my care in the hands of Dr. Halman and his terrific team at Humber River Hospital. An outstanding surgeon!

I had shoulder replacement surgery Oct 26, 2021....Pierra in the office was (is) excellent and all went exceedingly well including the follow up appointments. The result - exactly, if even better, than Dr. Halman indicated it would, assuming I did the recommended rehab, which I did. The arthritic pain is completely gone, flexibility/range of motion significantly enhanced. Exactly as he said, 6 months after the surgery I was back to playing golf - a lot of golf!

A couple months I reincorporated using my driver which I could not use for 5 years prior. Dr. Halman is a true professional - highly, highly competent and available and responsive. I would recommend him without question!

Dr. Halman is the ultimate professional. Aside from his acknowledged surgical expertise he is warm and encouraging. I had rotator cuff surgery 2 months ago and the combination of Dr. Halman’s magic and physio I am very close to 100% recovered. I have my life back thanks to Dr. Halman and the Humber team
