My daughter wouldn't be alive today but for the efforts of Dr John Cox. She was resuscitated twice at birth (at around 33 weeks). He always came and updated me on her progress each morning. Dr Cox was not my paediatrician, but it was an emergency caeser, he is absolutely brilliant under pressure, (I had a spinal so I was concious). Dr Cox doesn't suffer fools gladly, paediatrics is very precise, near enough is not good enough for Dr Cox. I always treated him with respect, he has a brilliant sense of humour, I gave back as good as I got. We got on very well.
When my daughter was older, she went back to thank him, I believe it was good for both of them.

PLEASE PLEASE dont waste your time money and heartache on this disgusting pig of a human!!!!!!!
Told me to go home and "tend to my husband" he must b feeling left out due to my sons constant needing of attention. Told "dont have another child" as i need to" train " my son first! I only have 2 children. Wouldnt allow me to speak. Spoke over the top of me. He said he didn't want to listen to any of my list of questions i had wrote down cause my son is normal just being a boy and to train him. No treatment. No further apt follow up. $200 wasted. My son was 3 yrs of age at time. Felt like a complete failure so we persisted with sons behaviours and at age 6 started moe help proffessionally. He is diagnosed with a severe ADHD ODD trauma and attachment issues. And 3 seperate learning disabilities.
Ive mentioned to several health proffessionals who have said they have heard so many reports of children not getting help they need and about his disgusting verbal vomit he speaks. IM SICKENED HE'S STILL PRACTICING!!!!! DONT SEE THIS PIG!!!!!

John Cox is far from a paediatrician. He's a GP masquerading as a Paediatrician, and he's not even a good GP.
He wanted to circumcise my son and gave no reason, other than "He just needs it done".
He wanted to put my 3 year old son on Epillim, because in his words "his brain was scrambled". But there was nothing wrong with my son.
This man is a snake oil salesman and a con artist. I would never trust my child with this monster.

There is no doubt in my mind that Dr Cox is an excellent paediatrician. He diagnosed my son with a serious condition that most others would not have the courage to do. He also gave my son the correct medication even though most other paediatricians wouldn't give him until he was 14. He is only 10. Yet he saw the need was there and so he didn't hesitate. I agree with his methods of child training and food choices. I am grateful that now my child is doing much better. However I also believe that when it comes to things he obviously knows nothing about eg: other medical specialist fields, that he should keep his opinions and thoughts to himself. I have been diagnosed by a geneticist and cardiologist with 2 rare syndromes. As one of them is inherited I informed Dr Cox of it so he could watch for signs in my 10 year old son. Despite knowing barely anything about the condition apart from a few lines he may have read in a textbook 30 years ago, he was condescending and arrogant in his speech toward me, even suggesting that my condition was not serious or disabling. I have just been approved of the disability pension which is now incredibly hard to get. He is a good paediatrician but I was offended by his comments and feel that he should stick to paediatrics and not pretend to have knowledge in any other specialist field. I found him quite rude.

My son was feeding every two hours and at six weeks was a heavy as a 6 month old. The home nurses told me he was great and no issues, still not happy I went to doctor cox , looked at him with in ten he said this boy has colic and supplied the correct medication to fix him and his feeding and sleeping issues. The best man to see if you think there is an issue. Be prepared thought if the issue is you he will let you know, I have changed what he said I should do and now I have a happy sleeping through little boy. Love your work and thank you again.

He may be good with sick children but do not go and see him if your child has behavior issues, he is a sexist pig against woman he told me that my son is to smart to be autistic which is extremely rude, and there is nothing wrong with him because he is a boy but if he was a girl it would be a different story, my son gets very agro being in his car seat as he hates being restrained and things touching him so he lashes out, he climbed out of his car seat and started hitting me while I was driving down the highway at 100km, John told my son that it was okay to climb out of his sit and do the things he does because he is a boy!! I highly recommend not taking children with suspected asd or adhd ect to him!! Oh he also told me the problem with this world and country today is because it's run by women and women don't know things like boys do, I told him that his helpfulness and not listening to me makes me cranky his reply was that it's not him that's making me cranky it's because I'm a woman and that's all woman are!!

Very difficult to deal with and unsupportive. Does not listen to the patient and did not take into account the information from the school.
