Do not leave your child alone with this doctor even if he demands you leave the room.

Dr Adsett was ever so kind when we had our first son. I wad quite young when gave birth In 2004. My mother was present for support in delivery room. He ensured she was included Upon review he was pleasant and understanding with any concerns and attentive to my questions. Dr Adsett was also my pediatrician when I was born. He's a straight honest up front shooter.

Dr Adsett is of little to no apparent knowledge, arrogant and belittling man. I would not recommend him to anyone... His bedside manner is in one word... appalling. I know pediatrician's are of limited supply in this area and private ones are expensive but in the long run if you want a proper diagnosis please consider going this way.

I have seen Dr Adsett about all three of my children's reflux as babies. His knowledge of the area is very limited, and he doesn't offer a great deal of help. Some of things he recommends are very outdated and not helpful at all. He is arrogant and can be rude. I would not really recommend him at all, but there is not a lot of paediatricians in this area.

Both my son and daughter have seen Dr Adsett over the past 5 years for quite different reasons. My son has Aspergers Syndrome and my daughter an anxiety disorder. I have always found Dr Adsett polite to myself and my children, considerate of our point of view and very helpful in explaining things. He has a quiet nature and this could be understood as arrogance, though I did not find this. He did prescribe medication for both our children which we very reluctantly tried and then discontinued. He respected our right to do this. We will happily continue to see Dr Adsett for any future needs.

Wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. My son was rushed to hospital with having 2 different types of seizures and stopes breathing for 2minutes n turned blue at 7 months old, he was discharged him 30 minutes. Didn't no he was the on call pediatrician that night at the hospital, herd he was good so rang him for a second opinoion he jumped down our throats screaming at us for asking a second opinion told us to wait our turn we were already on the waiting list for neurologist at brissie, called brissie children's hospital, they were shocked n rushed him there, found out he didn't follow protocol, any child that turns blue n stops breathing for what ever reason is required to stay over night in hospital for observation. Not competent n extremely rude never again!

Dr Adsett is a very competent and dedicated paediatrician. His professionalism and care is in my mind beyond discussion in this forum. I feel that numerous criticisms are unfounded and in many instances in medicine the outcome is not always going to be a positive outcome. I think we need to take stock of realities and recognise that medicine is not an exact science with guaranteed cures or effdctive treatments. Whilst management is often evidence based, it often does come down to individual medical opinions. I think the public fail to recognise that medical professionals at the end of the day are human. I would perceive that no greater dilemma exists for a medical practitioner than that of diagnosis and management of behavioural disorders in children. At the end of the day if a child is misbehaving their parents will be offended. If a suggestion of behaviour modification is recommended the parents may perceive futility. If medication is suggested the parents often refuse.
