Dr cox is awesome my daughter was born with temp but not treated so eight weeks later after little weight gain, three doctors and a lactation consultant blaming my breadtfeeding i was finally sent to dr cox who straight away said she had a kidney infection. Turns out she has bilateral refux of the kidneys. Dr cox wont suffer fools who waste his time but genuinely ill children are his passion and he will do everything to help!!!

I have seen Dr Cox twice, it was for roughly 20 mins each time. he asked me why i was there to see him and i told him about my sons behaviour, he listened then said sound like you have done everything you can which is great. he then handed me a prescription and said give your self a break and see me in 2 months. i went back to him as my son suffered from a couple of side effects of the medication. he was only to happy to listen to my concerns and as a nurse was only to happy to hear my suggestions in what i believe his treatment might consist of yes he could be classed as rude and stand offish, but what i really liked is that the man knows his stuff and hes not afraid if his opinion upsets you, he is a firm believer in a smack on the bum and appropriate punishment for bad behaviour..he is old school. i highly recommend him..thank dr cox for giving me my little boy back.

I took my son who suffers from ADHD for see Dr Cox. I had seen another Dr but couldn't get the help I need. I went to Dr Cox feeling very scared and unsure as I really needed help with my young son. As soon as I walked in the door his staff and himself couldn't of been more helpfully. Himself and his staff go above there duty and helped us out. I highly recommend this Dr. He will be my children's Dr for a very long time and I will recommend him to all my friends. Peta Grogan

Incredibly helpful. My daughter was very very unwell with some very unusual birth defects and he is the ONLY doctor I met who knew exactly what she needed, how to treat her and did it all with concern and a clear understanding. He didn't need to consult the web to work out what was needed, he was a proper old school doctor who has seen it before, knows he stuff and in the end saved her life!!! I am forever in his debt.

Can not believe this man is a pediatrician.. very rude, abrupt and arrogant. Was no help what so ever. Very disappointing. His office staff were lovely just a shame they have to over compensate for such a rude man.

He said my son did not have reflux after my regular doctor told me he did. He did not properly check my baby out nor offer any answers to why my baby was so unwell. Turns out that he was reacting to the reflux medication he was on so the hospital paediatrician gave us something for it. Then at my sons 6 month vaccination he bruised one leg and solidified the fat on the other because he did not go into the muscle. I have not and will not go back!!!

This Doctor is special. I have John Cox to thank that I can celebrate my sons 21St birthday next month. John is honest ,tells you what you need to know & what you don't need to worry about. I have seen the way he goes out of his way to reassure both child & parent in our time with him. I would reccomend John as he will be honest, tell you what you may not want to hear sometimes but he will work with you & listen to your concerns.

I have been taking my Godson who recently came into my care to see Dr Cox for several months now and I must admit I was a little apprehensive at first after reading some of the comments on this page. However, I have found Dr Cox to be an excellent doctor, compassionate, helpful and child friendly. I am very lucky to have the same views as dr Cox in regards to diet, sugar, discipline etc and we hit it off straight away. remember, he is not there to make you feel better - he is there for your child and to help you with a proper care plan so your child can make the most out of their life no matter their medical problem. If you don't like what he says, go home after you have calmed down and think about his words unemotionally and know that what he says is to benefit your child and it is worth listening to and acting upon his advice. I also LOVE the receptionists at Dr Cox's surgery - they are always happy, they chat with you and always have a smile. Yes I am a BIG fan of Dr Cox & his Staff.
