Diagnosed Alzheimer's without any test (turned out not to be Alzheimer's). Gave medication and said come back in 6 months: medication resulted in massive skin sores. Received much better care from another physician. Dr King thinks too highly of himself and for years attempted to reign over geriatric care in Nanaimo. Staff called him "Princess King" behind his back.

Dr King is an excellent, thorough physician. He persevered with me though a tricky initial diagnosis the result of which is him saving my life. His thoroughness continues through subsequent appointments and his bedside manner is excellent. In fact my wife would love to have him as her doctor but for that to happen she would need a referral. Dr King's one failing is his time keeping which really sucks. This is without doubt due to the thoroughness with which he treats all his patients. If you are referred to Dr King, you are extremely fortunate. But bring a book.

Dr. Kim King saved my life. He is brilliant, caring and a great communicator. He had to make a difficult decision in my case and fortunately for me he took a risk and made the right one. The nurse in ICU told me he came into the hospital in the middle of the night to check on me. That is dedication.

Personally I found him careless in communications which resulted in my knee surgery to be postponed after an one year wait! Not happy. He says he will call but never calls, he just doesn't communicate with other doctors and I have asked not ever to be sent to him again after this terrible experience.
