I just started taking my daughter to this practice and I have been extremely pleased. The staff was very polite, accommodating and knowledgeable. Our wait was not long at all. Once my daughter was taken back to be evaluated, the nurse practitioner was extremely kind and went out of her way to answer our questions, provide us with information, etc. Dr. James was extremely professional, knowledgeable and had a great "bedside manner" with my daughter and me. I've had to talk to her nurses over the phone and they have all been very helpful. I was hesitant after reading all the remarks below, but so far have been very pleased.

Horrible!!!!!! Horrible office staff & Horrible Nurses make for a HORRIBLE Doctor not matter what. The staff are so rude and the nurse has no compassion or professionalism. In my short time under their care I was not given the correct information when it came to my care and due to the clear lack of knowledge when it comes to the immunology part of this doctor and staffs title they get a BIG FAT F! I would change doctors if you are going to this doctor and if you are thinking about going to her I would RUNNNN as far away as you can. I am now seeing an Immunologiest in Birmingham who is amazing!! You are your only advocate! Find doctors who are knowledgeable and who have compassion and who employee a staff who are at least tolerable.

I could not be more pleased with this doctor and staff. The appointment was right on time and I never felt rushed. Dr. James took the time to listen to my concerns and offer a couple of different options. The only thing that would make it perfect would be for her to have an office in Madison. I would highly recommend Dr. James.

My family stopped going to Dr. James awhile ago. Long waits, RUDE nurses are the two main complaints. Dr. James was polite, but didn't adequately address my problems. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

My daughter was 7 when I took her to Dr. Gray for severe allergy problems. This place is not kid friendly! The nurse that administered the allergy testing was not sensitive to my child at all. If you don't know, allergy testing is painful, especially for a child. They wanted to do outdoor and indoor testing on the same day! When I told the m no way, they were very rude to me and my husband. Once my a daughter had a skin staph infection and the medicine she prescribed made her so sick with diarrhea it was ridiculous. I asked to reduce the dosage and she wouldn't! I talked to my family doctor about it and he told me that based on her weight, the dosage was too high! If you want to be treated bad go to her! If not, go to Dr. Kumar.

I agree with most of the comments about this office. Dr. James has been my daughter’s doctor for two years. During 2 annual visits, we had to wait a long time (over an hour) to see the nurse practitioner and the doctor. On the second visit, we never even saw the doctor because we had to leave for another appointment. The office applies a charge to complete a School Medication/Parent Authorization form ($15 for the first medication/$5 for each additional medication). That can get expensive considering the forms are needed for school, school activities/field trips, school summer camps, and updates when the medication changes. Dr. James is very nice and knowledgeable. Just be prepared to wait some time before you see her and to be charged for everything. I do not recommend this practice. I will be looking for another doctor.

I've had no problems. Occasionally the shots sting a little more than normal, but my breathing is improving and that's most important. I'm military so I've gotten to see docs all over the country and this is about as good as it gets.
