After 4 months I was finally able to get the first consultation. Had the consultation in Feb 2018 for a breast reduction. She said her team would confirm OHIP coverage and then be in touch. I followed up in May of that year, and the staff said there was a delay and would “resend” the paperwork, but it definitely sounded like they never sent the application to OHIP initially. Then I followed up in July and they said they hadn’t heard back from OHIP but they would call me when they had heard back and that I didn’t need to follow up.
Still no word from them by September so I followed up again a couple of times and their office never picked up the phone and didn’t reply to my voicemail. I can only judge based on that initial consultation that Dr. Musgrave is very knowledgeable, however I was never able to move forward with her to actually get the procedure I desperately need (I’m a 38H). Restarted the process with a new surgeon and due to covid19 with everything on hold it is now 2 yrs and 9 months that I’m still waiting to get this procedure done. Really upset that Dr Musgrave’s staff set me on this delayed path. SO my advice is avoid her and her staff from the start and find a different surgeon.

I legitimately do not get what folks are talking about. I saw Dr. Musgrave and she was professional, polite and knowledgeable and approachable. I also witnessed her handling a very intoxicated person who strolled into the waiting room and was terrible to the staff, again professional and courteous- impressive. I do recommend her based on the interactions I have had thus far, I like her and she seems trustworthy and most of all she is knowledgeable and each time she has been approachable and down to earth. I am honestly perplexed by what has been written.

I had my consultation on March 10th for top surgery and she was great. I was so nervous reading things about her. I have the added luxury of a friend working at the same hospital who has interacted with her. He had mentioned that she can be intense and scary but knows her stuff and that I'd be in good hands. That's what I want. Sitting in the waiting area I was SO nervous! Having second thoughts, mildly freaking out, etc. Well, I couldn't have asked for a better visit! She was amazing in my consultation. I had researched my desired procedure beforehand and had all my questions answered. She was pleased I had done so much research and she was blunt about what the result may look like. Again, this was what I wanted to hear. Realistic expectations. I wasn't disappointed or surprised in anything she had said. I just hope I can get my surgery soon (due to current events). Looking forward to it!

Professional behaviour needs a lot of improving. She may know her surgical skills, but lacks compassion and communicating appropriately. She refused to give notes to my doctor's office on the surgery and follow-up care when requested and stated it's a waste of her time, but was needed for my follow-up care. She acts very entitled and privileged and is not very patient or care centred.

Terrible person no compassion please don’t see her. She will make u feel completely hopeless. I’ve never been so disappointed in someone’s bed side manner in my life. I can’t think of one nice thing to say. Lee the ot in very kind he should find a new job so she doesn’t bring him down. I would never recommend her she is the rudest person I’ve ever met.

I’m not sure why people give her such awful ratings. They complain about her bedside manner but I am a 25 year old girl who had breast cancer at 23 and had the pleasure of having Dr. Musgrave as a plastic surgeon. She has been absolutely AMAZING. She answers all of my questions, she doesn’t waste my time, she is incredibly blunt which I think is a great thing. I don’t have time to be coddled by my specialist. I wanna know the harsh truth about whatever it is they need to tell me. Not only has she been pleasant, but the results of my reconstruction are PERFECT. I had a couple infections and she did everything she could to save my reconstruction so I didn’t have to live with a flat chest. It’s hard enough having cancer and getting a life and body changing surgery at this age, and she honestly made it that much easier for me. She made me feel like me again but with no nipples and better breasts lmao honestly. She’s done whatever she could to make me feel comfortable and I will be forever grateful for the treatment I have received from her. Thank you Dr. Musgrave!

Just had my initial consult with her , OMG she’s awful !! She was rude and abrupt and seemed irritated I was even there . What a mistake ! I’m getting my surgery done but not by her. If she does surgery like she makes a first impression I will die FOR SURE ! Good god what an awful attitude. Like what happened to her when she was a child ? You can’t treat ppl like that . Would never ever see or her let her touch me . I don’t care if she can work miracles ( and I don’t read about many of them on here ) but if you instantly hate your surgeon that’s a bad sign . Wow !! She’s rotten .

my operation was 2 hours late and no one came to tell me why or check up on me. She told me what I wanted I could not have without explaining anything. Her staff were rude and showed absolutely no sense of compassion. Avoid Saint Michaels at all cost.
