She is absolutely the most arrogant and rude doctor I have ever met.

I met her in the walk-in clinic. Nothing but bad experiences with Dr. Humaria Cassam. She is a the most arrogant, unhelpful, rude and impatient doctor I have ever met. She is cold and disrespectful with patients. I’m surprised this woman is able to practice! Don’t recommend at all to anyone. I will be also writing to the college of physicians to put in an official complaint.

Ok, I'd like to say this is the worst doctor in the world but there's probably many way worse. Ok how she is as actual doctor? I don't know. How she is as a human, well that's a different story. I know someone who worked for her, and a she's the CHEAPEST person you could ever know. She would count how much printer paper there was, and would instruct the admin staff to print ANYTHING on scrap paper. Second, she was so late for an appointment one time, because she had to run to Fresco because margarine was on sale. Anyhow, I could go on, but I don't want to get anyone in trouble, *cough* OHIP *cough*, so let's say, she gets zero stars for being a human. But she gets one star because she might actually know her stuff medically speaking. Good job, you cheap...person!

I wish so badly I stumbled upon this before I accepted a job at her clinic. In my personal experience everything the last two people said is absolutely true. I almost started crying when I read “questioning yourself outside of work”. I left this job with such low self esteem to the point where I was and still am questioning if I want a future in the medical field. I have never in my life experienced the amount of micromanaging that goes on at this workplace. Be careful because she talked badly about most of her staff to me and I overheard her do the same about me to another coworker. I heard as she called clients and workers stupid/idiots, she also promised me full time hours after two weeks of being “ramped up” …never happened, and after about a month started cutting me off when I spoke and belittling almost everything I did. I wish I did not get swayed by the higher hourly wage and vague politeness during the interview. Staff are amazing though love them.

Weighing in here because of the below comment about her staffing issues. She IS absolutely appalling to her staff. I mean anyone and everyone who crosses administrative paths with her. I’ll also endorse that “Gaslighting” is definitely a relevant word here.

If you’ve been offered a job with her DON’T TAKE IT. She is a complete narcissist and will constantly gaslight you to the point you are questioning yourself even outside of work. You will be promised full time and will not even get part time hours. Constant revolving door of staff because she is horrible to them.

I have had both virtual and in person appointments with her. I met her in the walk-in and was impressed by her attention to detail so I decided to join her roster. She is very holistic and thorough, following up on physical issues and always asking about your mental health! You do not feel like a number and she always takes the time to make sure you get the attention you need!

Dr. Cassam has been nothing but kind, thoughtful and validating of my medical experiences. I feel very lucky to have met a doctor that is willing to call me on the weekend to discuss results. Always looking to provide thorough service and an understanding of medical issues, Dr. Cassam is a gem.

Dr. Cassam is wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and caring family doctor! I truly do not understand why some people have rated her so poorly. The only thing I would say that isn’t so great is the fact that she charges so much for notes other family doctors would not. For instance just a note for massage therapy or compression stockings is $25 and it’s cash only. The first time I had someone take the money and not give me a receipt, but since then Dorothy always gives me a receipt and she’s also wonderful. I understand why she would charge for notes for walk-in patients, but as someone’s family doctor I feel it’s a little strange to charge those patients for certain notes.

Other than charging for notes, there’s absolutely no complaints. She is fantastic!!!!
