Did not seem to like people that were Asian. Apparently she is not liked by the people she works with.

I read some of the previous ratings and it seems to me that she was given a bad rap because she didn't just promise people what they wanted to hear. I thought she was awesome. She had a great bedside manner. She will encourage you to skip over things that dont work so you can move on to things that do work. I'm pregnant now because of her advice after years of trying simpler things that didn't work at another clinic.

We were told that our only option was ivf with icsi, even though there does not seem to be a problem with me and my husband has adequate sperm count and motility (he had a vasectomy reversal). We wanted to start out with iui but were told this would not help. Claimed that we had anti-sperm antibodies and that iui would be of no use. Flat out refused to even try iui. We have since had a sperm antibody test and are negative. Unless you are prepared to go directly to icsi, then don't go to Genesis. All they want is your money. Have since been working with an RE from UBC and LOVE him. He has determined I have a large fibroid on my uterus that needs to be removed and we are going to try iui with clomid. Have some issues with rapid forward motility and our RE feels confident that iui may be our answer. If not? At least we tried the inexpensive routes before doing ivf, which gives us piece of mind.

Poor bedside manner. Doesnt care about patients. Just wants the money and puts you on a standard protocol of treatment without adequate monitoring. There are much better options then Dr. Flucker and her clinic.

Comes across as somewhat uncaring/insensitive regarding such a personal and intimate issue as infertility. My personal experience was not enough focus on trying to resolve the medical issue, and maybe a litle too much focus on rushing to get your money for infertility treatments??? If you are looking for a DR. to start with the least conservative approach-maybe not the right one for you...depends if you feel time is still on your side. However, definitely knows her stuff. Worth a try.

Dr. Fluker was fabulous. She is not a touchy-feely doctor, which some couples may prefer for this subject, but if you want answers and reality (and results, at least in my case), she is the right person for you.

Insensitive doctor - particularly given the topic of infertility. Rushes you out of your appointment and doesn't provide solid answers as to why things work/don't work (not even predictions based on her experience). Actually told a friend that "she (Fluker) doesn't deal with the emotional side of infertility - just the science" - giving her a list of counsellors to call as she escorted her out of her office...
