Horrible bedside manner! She may be very knowledgeable but just really condescending, abrupt and disrespectful.

Dr. Gelmon walked into the clinic room for my first appointment with her terribly annoyed with me. She interrupted me numerous times, and when I said I was confused by a screening protocol, snapped at me: there's nothing to be confused about. I don't know what I did to make her so angry at me, or if she was having a bad day, or if the morale is especially bad in this oncology clinic. But her bedside manner was terrible. She didn't even acknowledge my husband who was in the room with me. I left feeling defeated and demoralized. Nice thing to do to a cancer patient.

Karen is a Rockstar among her peers. Saved me when I was 22 in 1985. I should not have had a chance. She cares. Much love Dr. Gelmon

I could not have asked for a better oncologist. Dr. Gelmon is extremely knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and yes, even quite funny. She makes you feel at east. I am greatly blessed.

Dr Gelmon caught a biopsy error and got me on medication that saved my life. She is kind, compassionate and really listens to her patients. I've never had such a wonderful doctor.
