I am newly introduced to the care by Dr Zypchen and am pleased. Attention seems paramount in her handling of my case of AML. I present a puzzling diagnosis (chemo had to be interrupted) so time will tell on how the knowledge factor is truly evaluated. Her bedside manner is excellent and availability, too.

I have been a patient for many years now and am so glad I was referred to her by my family doctor. She takes the time to explain, show you the real data about what is happening and takes whatever time you need to talk through your current situation.

I have to say Dr. Zypchen is very gentle and kind in her manner. Her secretary, Sonia, is very helpful as well. The wait time to see her is long, but I guess this happens everywhere now as our medical system is getting so overwhelmed. We definitely need more good doctors like Dr. Zypchen in BC. I hope the government will do something to alleviate the long wait time.

I am not pleased that I have to be under the care of a hematologist but if I must, I could not be happier that I have Dr Zypchen looking after me. I developed an apparent blood clot in my left leg above the knee and ended up in emergency at the insistence of my GP. A blood clot was indeed confirmed and less than 24 hours later I was being interviewed by Dr Zypchen. She is exceptional in her thoroughness, attention to detail, and explanations as to what the issue is and why and how she is planning on treating it. She is very punctual and yet takes all the time you need to feel comfortable and fully understand her recommended treatment. She knows what she is doing and does an excellent job of it too. Kind, compassionate, attentive, empathetic, thorough, and very bright, A great combination for a great doctor.

Did not get involved during loved ones 2 month hospital stay for infection even though they ended up needing multiple transfusions. Not impressed by her lack of involvement. The on-call hematologists have been the only ones involved. She didn't do anything. I don't know if she has the knowledge because she was not there to give it.

She was my grandma's doctor, and she is super nice. I would recommend her.
