This doctor psychiatrist doesn't care about you nor your family . Nothing but a pill pusher and a cheque collecter .

This doctor released a family member 24 hours after a suicide attempt - reporting "not a threat to herself" I had informed the nursing staff I would like to speak with him as I challenge this assessment- Doctor would not come back to the unit to speak with patients family to provide the criteria that was met for the release nor the reasoning for his decision or medication switch. Reported to Patient Relations at Joseph Brant Hospital.

This psychiatrist released a family member hours after being apprehended by police under the Mental Health Act for at risk suicidal behaviour, only to have the patient go into crisis within hours resulting in another violent police apprehension . Dr Colonne dismissed our collateral information submitted through the nursing staff, and indicated to the charge nurse that this was all borderline personality disorder and not a concern for suicide. Did not ensure a safety plan on release. Very concerning. Reported to Joseph Brant Hospital Patient Relations.

Dr. Colonne has been my psychiatrist for almost 8 years and his words from several years ago, just prior to the pandemic, really haunt me. I was alone in his office when he told me “I can guarantee you, that you will die by suicide, if not next weekend or next month, then in 20 years from now, if not for some freak accident, therefore I see no point in adjusting your medication from here on further”. That is a crime of abuse by a doctor and unfortunately I haven’t been able to seek justice as I was caught off guard alone in his office when he said these exact words to me.

Wonderful person and excellent Doctor. I was most fortunate to be a Patient of Doctor Colonne. His treatment was life saving.

He’s great has been handling my meds now for the last few years always willing to help you out and offer suggestions if the current meds don’t help I was on a dark downward spiral before I met him and now I’m doing better still have bad days but trust in Dr.C he’s a good listener and very smart

Knew I needed some extra help, but was nervous about seeing a Phychiatrist. My appointments with Dr. Colonne have all been amazing. I feel heard and supported. I feel guided by an expert with experience, knowledge and who says it like it is with kindness & respect for the human condition. I can be completely myself, honest & authentic and leave feeling blessed to have new insight for growth & health.

I have been a patient of his for decades. He has been an amazing doctor for me. He continued to fine-tune my medication regiment to maximize my quality of life. He was easy to talk to. He always seemed genuinely concerned, he listened to me and helped me as he was able. My only concern was that he closed down his practice very suddenly without warning and I still have not been able to obtain my medical records.

Dr Colonne is a good concerned doctor who does his best. The nurses are excellent too. Thank you for helping me to overcome my bipolar disorder.
