My experience with this doctor hasn't been great. She's rushed and condescending. She doesn't listen to you. I won't be going back.

Dr Pedersen really needs to work on her proverbial “bedside manner”. She was condescending, impatient and rude. When I asked her a perfectly normal question relating to what can be expected about my condition, she replied that she does not have a crystal ball. I told her that I know that, but there is something called statistics. I will definitely not go back to her.

Absolutely the rudest most insensitive doctor I have ever interacted with. I have been dealing with her for 5 some years and she has zero empathy for her patients, a complete lack of respect for your mental well-being and has little to no interest in you as a person. I got to the point where I would rather not deal with my illness than have to deal with her which is a terrible feeling. I would RUN as far as you can away from her. Every bad review on here is completely accurate, how she has any good ones is beyond me. Please if you value your health. Do not see her.

I am from SK and I travel to Calgary to see Dr. Pedersen. After a very long period of illness, I was diagnosed in SK with a large pituitary tumor. My neurosurgeon in SK wanted me to wait until I began to lose my vision before considering surgery and my SK endocrinologist spent my appointments complaining about her workload, dabbling with 'this and that' medication and put me on the wrong medication to treat my tumor (two long years of treatment that left me incredibly sick with a continually growing tumor). Long story short, I traveled to the USA Mayo Clinic in Rochester and was encouraged to move to a larger Canadian city for surgical intervention and endocrine care (please if you have a Pit tumor do not wait until your vision is compromised). Post surgery I have almost no pituitary function due to the damage of the tumor and surgery. This has left me with hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, estrogen insufficiency and diabetes insipidus....hypopituitary. I take endocrine medication to replace the function of every gland my pituitary would normally control. Dr. Pedersen has been an absolute Godsend. Every time I arrive she is prepared, organized, informative and extremely knowledgeable. She locates test results that SK never seems to send her, analyses my MRI reports and gives me results my own neurosurgeon does not, continually provides me with tests, referrals and resources to preventatively track hormone levels as well as monitor the expected return of this tumor. I am not an easy case, too specialized for a GP. I finally have an endocrinologist helping me to take charge of my health and replacing what my body needs medically. I am a former ICU nurse. I am knowledgeable about endocrine health and I am continually learning from Dr. Pedersen. I've been through a lot and I owe my continued health to this amazing doctor. She is, without question, worth the drive and travel expenses! Expect her to be on time, honest, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and hardworking in your care. She will expect you to commit to taking care of yourself, following through on the plan and working with her to get results. If that's what you're looking for, ignore the rough ratings on this site and make an appointment. Tell her Shannon sent you;)

RUN. Do not walk, RUN if this is your “endocrinologist”. Every negative review here is 100% accurate. She must have paid the other ones.

I was referred to her by my family doctor regarding my PCOS, and I was really looking forward to my appointment. It ended up being over the phone due to covid, which is fine but she seemed rude over the phone and judgemental. The way she asked questions seemed insensitive and I know for a fact that I will NOT be visiting this doctor anymore. She really lacks empathy and understanding. She proceeded to tell me my PCOS was a result of my weight which from every other doctor I've heard was NOT the case. She made me feel uncomfortable and just rude.

Worst endocrinologist I have ever encountered in 20 years. My daughter went to her for 10 years and she did absolutely nothing for her. She did more harm healthwise than anyone my daughter has ever seen. She is rude, lack of complete knowledge of a type 1 diabetic. She should have her license pulled and never be allowed to practice as an endocrinologist ever again. We are lucky my daughter hasn't lost her life because of Dr. Pedersen. We have a new endocrinologist now due to an emergency room visit that has done more for my daughter in one year then Pedersen did in 10 years. Absolutely useless woman!!!

She seems more concerned with her social media posts rather than opening a textbook and having basic medical knowledge of her field... useless woman.

Very mediocre doctor... she lacks knowledge in her field - and she will compensate for that by acting cold, aloof, or avoiding answers if you ask her any questions. Like the other reviews have said - she needs to go back to med school to educate herself again!
