I love this hospital. They saved my grandmother's life. She was having heart problems. They were amazing and attentive. She got a pacemaker put in. They even let her dog come for a visit. And they continue to monitor her 5 years later. And recently my daughter's twins were transferred there to the NICU. Wonderful staff there! Wonderful hospital!!

Was left in chronic pain after a surgery performed by Dr. Frank Brandschwei. Now everytime Ive gone back looking for the help I. Treating like a junkie looking for a fix and am told the surgery was a success. No successful surgery leaves a person in worse pain then before. Last visit Dr. Welsh offered me some antidepressants and made a joke about suicidal thoughts and said he will see about getting me into a pain specialist but it could take a long time.

Just released today, staff were fantastic! Went from Emergency through to a CT scan, diagnosis and admitted in about 6 1/2 hours. Staff were all excellent, everyone helped me including the custodial staff. Doctor or resident was there every day.

The staff were polite, professional, and the service was great. The nurses were evidently well trained and the operating surgeons were available and interested in my well being and helped ease my concerns before going into the OR. My recovery was quick and the care I had was excellent all around. I got to go home a few days after thanks to the attentiveness in keeping me well maintained. :)

Admitting staff were very professional and helpful, but, even after I repeatedly told him that my doctor sent me to the hospital, the foreign doctor kept questioning me as to why I came there and then "explained" that I wasn't an emergency and was shown the door.

MANY TIMES DOCTORS ARE RATHER TO PRESCRIBE HEAVY PAIN KILLERS LIKE VALIUM/IBUPROFEN/TYLENOL THEN DO THEIR JOB AND RESEARCH WHERE THE PAIN IS COMING FROM! Not everyone wants quick temporary solution- getting pumped with pain killers! Some of us want intelligent approach with providing and digging in deeper to find what actually is causing excruciated pain! Doctors in Rocky View General Hispital in Calagry are acting and becoming drug dealers/provides, versus healers and intelligent human beings that are willing to walk the mile and do the necessary research to discover true cause of the pain!
It's a shame, true shame! And it is scary, where should we turn now when illness comes? Is this where are 45% tax income goes?!!! Shame! Say no to drugs and easy way out! Say yes to intelligent approach!

I spent over two months for post op care from a botched surgery in Red Deer in Rockyvuew. My doctors, nursing staff, physio staff, even the cleaning staff and porters were amazing. I needed to talk to someone and she was so helpful to myself and my family. I honestly felt like I was special and was at a spa. Thank you Rockyview, for your kindness.

If your coming here for surgery DONT !!!!!!
See if you can have it dont a Foot hills or South health. The nurses here are are not who you want after a surgery because you wont get any rest as there more concerned with chating it up at the top of there lungs all night than actually doing there jobs. And dont even get me started on there suport staff who are totlally incompitient . There even worse , this was once a great hospitol but not any more . One would think paitents care and need for rest would be a prority well think again . Id will never have any sort of priceedure done here again.

I was in hospital for 2.weeks with no cause found for my fever and sepsis. The Dr told me on day three that "we really aren't doing anything here for you" and wanted me to agree to discharge. I declined his suggestion and continued to have fever of 40 degrees, low blood pressure, and required IV fluids. Only after I asked that they treat my infection (per Google) for suspect Rocky Mountain Spotted fever did the fever subside. The nursing care failed greatly....kept giving me my blood pressure med (for history of high blood pressure) though now too low, left sheets on my bed for me to make when the sheets were saturated from sweating, never returned to reassess my fever after after giving me Tylenol, .......2 out of 20+ nurses demonstrated sound nursing and clinical skill.
