The only Doctor I’ve ever seen in Calgary who has shown me real care and concern as a patient, we need more Doctors like her with her Humility in Calgary.

Dr. Bassyouni is the best doctor I have ever had. Her knowledge and passion for endocrinology is only surpassed by her pleasant nature and exceptional bedside manner. From the very first visit she has gone above an beyond to make sure that I am afforded every opportunity to be the healthiest version of myself. I went to her to have a mass on my thyroid looked at, but just from our conversation she dug deeper and is now also investigating the possibility for cancer elsewhere in my body that had been overlooked by other doctors. She has a truly passionate interest in her field, and at times seems more invested in my health than I am haha

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Bassyouni and consider myself very lucky to have found such an incredible doctor.

Dr. Bassyouni is one of those rare doctors that truly truly cares about you beyond the disease. She goes above and beyond the role and ensures that we are in the fight against diabetes together and for the first time in a long time I don't feel alone in a system that places too much focus on clinical outcomes and not enough on human care. She is a definite positive of diabetes and just when you think there is no way she can top her performance and effort she does. She is personally invested in my care and I see her as family. Cancelled an appointment I've been waiting 4 months the weekend before via phone. Never responded to email or voicemail. Never helped with my problems and didnt try.

She was very personable and caring all throughout my visit. It started out with a smile and handshake and a “how are you doing today?” Which is a rarity nowadays with how busy and unhuman some doctors can be. Was very thorough with history of my problems and explained things in a way for me to understand. She even called me personally after to say she forgot a lab test on one of the requisitions and if I could kindly add it in. Not to forget she even provided me with a personal cell to text and email for questions! What doctor does this nowadays. I highly recommend her as I felt very comfortable speaking with her and taking her advice and knowledge. First doctor I have walked out of the office feeling good she has my best interest at heart. She definitely became a doctor for the right reasons and has awesome bedside manner.
