I found Dr Teeny am quite pleasant and helpful as well as his staff..I would respect his honesty and not take things personally...as weight and overall fitness is a contributer to overall health so has to be taken into consideration...and doctors do not know all the answers and pain is a tough one..seems to me he has been making a positive impact in his profession.He is human....he can help but cannot cure all.

After 4 visits...lasting about 4 minutes each.. I was not impressed.Been in pain for months..other than ordering an MRI. Doc has not met my needs at all! would not recommed him to anyone.
Still in pain & going to get a 2nd opnion.

I am a healthcare professional as well, Dr Tenenbaum may not have a great bedside manor, every professional has their own strengths, and I am very glad to have him in my corner. Be your own advocate when it comes to treatment and do not be afraid to ask questions. I found that he doesn't fluff up the conversation, straight line to the answers. In 4 years as his patient I have felt valued as well as given a major contributor into my own treatment.

This Dr is a jerk. He is very abrupt and offensive. I have fibromyalgia so am in severe pain all the time. He gave me no new information and said to exercise religiously and to cut out carbs. He poked me in the stomach and said "You have to lose that". It was very demeaning and I left crying. I dread having to go back to him.

My experience with him is from nearly 9 years ago, and I sincerely hope he has changed since then. He was thorough in his testing, but didn't seem to understand my pain very well (or didn't believe me.) When I asked him if walking was a good way to get some exercise in, he told me it was not and that I should do something with more impact. Well, after stupidly following his advice I was left in considerably more pain than before. I've learned since then that walking is, in fact, a very good low impact cardio. Considering his own weight issues, I don't think he should be giving any more fitness advice. Patients beware...

I have worked with Dr. Tenenbaum for several years now and although he is abrupt he is excellent at what he does. He has been willing to take phone calls and explain things. He doesn't work with pain meds but that is what my GP does. He manages my very obscure disease and that's what I need. His nurse other the other hand is rude and difficult to work with, making appointments difficult.

I saw dr tenebaum several times and he is very direct but I appreciate his honesty and respect his opinion. I also love the fact that he wasn't one of those doctors that just automatically prescribes medication, suggests alternatives first.
