Huge waste of time. Very dismissive. Very disappointed.

After waiting 2 months to see her for debilitating symptoms, and seeing multiple specialists, it was basically a huge waste of my time. She sent her student to talk to me for 20 mins, where she then came in for about 30 seconds, told me there was nothing she could do for me and sent me on my way. Offered no suggestions or testing, very disappointing. I would not recommend!

I saw Dr. Ludwig for a second opinion after seeing Dr. Richardson who was not helpful and very rude. Dr. Ludwig was very disappointing as well. While I was there she looked at my file online and saw what Dr. Richardson had found (which was nothing) and said she agreed with her colleague. . So I guess gone are the days of the second opinion and fresh start with a new doctor. I saw both of these doctors for extreme bone/muscle pain and terrible exhaustion. The first one told me that “ at my age I had to expect a few aches and pains”, and Dr. Ludwig suggested that I just needed to try some pilates. VERY disappointed.

Went to see her a couple year back due to chronic fatigue (which I still suffer from). It took forever to get the appointment to go see her and when I finally did, it was basically a waste of time. Did not offer to do one single test and basically told me 'you look healthy, you seem healthy, so you're fine' and legit told me "maybe you need more stimulation". Really? Well now I'm studying in university and my fatigue is 10x worse. She did not even try to put in any effort to find the cause of the problem because I "look healthy". Useless.

Was trying to get pregnant but never get my periods. Told me to keep trying, even when I pointed out I wasn’t getting a period. Saw Heartland Fertility where they actually checked and found that I wasn’t ovulating. Waste of my time and told them I’d never see her again. She didn’t care or do anything to check as to why no period, I guess because thyroid levels were fine.

Dr. Ludwig’s bedside manner is excellent. From my own experience, she cares about her patients and even when I let her know I was moving out of province she took the time to call me about my recent lab results. I was referred to her for my hyperthyroidism and never had any issues with appointments, always getting in quickly. I wished I could still be under her care!

It took quite a while from my referral to my initial appointment but once I saw Dr Ludwig, very thorough testing was done in a timely manner. She has an excellent “bedside “ manner, clearly explaining procedures and answering questions at a level easily understood.

Hypothyroid/Hashimoto's here. Second endo I have seen in Winnipeg. She seems to be more mentally stable than the last endo I visited, she is hooked and set on T4 only treatment. She will not consider combination or NDT therapy. Her reasons were the typical one most MD's give you that NDT is not regulated/safe, that testing TSH only is what matters, that once you are within range on the blood tests you are fine. I advised I was still symptomatic on T4 only treatment and her reasoning was the symptoms are related to another, undiagnosed issue. I only spent 5 minutes with her as her student was the one that got my info and took my blood pressure.

Had no info or help for PCOS or my thyroid as she was not willing to continue me on NDT therapy. Hopefully my GP ignores her information and stays with the recommendations of the pharmacist. Parmacists are the ones trained in drug therapy after all.

I'm not saying she is a terrible endo, just if T4 only therapy isn't working for you, you won't get anywhere with her.

Great dr always listens to my pains and gets me seen by whichever specialist I need , always fits me in even when i was i n emergency she stopped in to check on me before going to clinic

To the point, does not sugar coat the issue, no time for bs. I can see how this can hurt some peoples feelings but I've seen her throughout my pregnancies over 9 nears and have respect for her and i can tell she cares.
