I have seen this doctor for on and off 3 years for my thyroid, the wait time is crazy dont get me wrong, i feel if i have an appointment i should be going in a room within 30min but sometimes its a lot longer. Once im in a room and after the students (who i never had an issue with) she is direct and right to the point and if you dont spek up it is a very short appointment, but does take time to answer questions that i have concerns with, i also tell the students exactly what i want to know and will put it on the page so it doesnt get missed and was very kind about difficult topics for myself. I think she is great but not personal, she gets to the point and if you have no questions or concerns she moves on, but she gets the job done.

To whom it may concern,

Dr Ludwig refuses to acknowledge my disability tax credit due to my not returning to ACF medicine for over 3 years due to risk of Covid exposure. As I am a type one diabetic, Covid would have most likely killed me had I contracted it. My father has two types of cancer as well and the potential of transferring infection to him was to great a risk. She informed me that because of that she would be only able to put down that I was their patient from 2024 onward as anything else would potentially comprise herself yet the fraudulent information she wrote down as I have been her patient since before 2019 and by so forwarding false information, would potentially have consequences for her legally. I informed her that diabetics now get the credit by default due to bill c-19 and all she is confirming is that I do in fact have diabetes. This is an ongoing issue with Dr Ludwig. When I applied for the previous credit, she wouldn’t sign unless you followed the way she wanted you to live as a diabetic to the letter. In this incredibly trying time financially for many of us, she seems to be doing everything in her power to make sure only people she deems “worthy” are able to get this credit. The credit and the money it would provide would assist with a number of financial restraints from housing to food to medication as I am on pharmacare and due to my high cost of medication, they want a minimum of 2500$ before the plan will pay for anything

I do not wish to go to the college of physicians but at this point I feel I have no other real option. Even if I don’t get the credit, people deserve to know what kind of a doctor and person she really is

Very LONG waits and visits end up being very short and usually spent with a student, not with a doctor.

I have seen Dr. Ludwig for the past almost 5 years and in those five years she has been excellent. Her staff have been excellent. Her student doctors have been completely amazing. They answer all my questions they take into consideration other things that might be going on in my life. As a diabetic, your blood sugar levels can go from one extreme to another if you have other happenings in your life, take the time to talk to Dr. Ludwig or her student doctor and they will figure out a plan for you. Dr. Ludwig is a no nonsense person. She tells you how it is she suggest’s what she thinks might work however she leaves room for your opinion and if you don’t like what she is suggesting, you can come up with another plan with her for yourself . All these comments I’m reading about being dissatisfied with her is beyond my comprehension . I cannot comprehend what you people are saying about her. Yes, you have to wait when you get in her office. Yes, the students do come in and take the information and take the blood pressure, but I would certainly prefer that than waste Dr. Ludwig’s’s time .Before she comes in to see you, she actually goes through everything that the student has talked to you about along with your blood pressure ratings and your weight and in my case my concerns that I expressed to the student doctors. I give her thumbs up other than punctuality because of in between patients or maybe the doctor student is taking too long with another patient Dr Ludwig always waits for that report before seeing you. I would give her a full 10 if I could but it’s the waiting time that is the only downfall.

Disgraceful for a Specialist Doctor! Not fair to me as patient NOT to get actualDoctor time . I did not go to have time with an arrogant student. !!! Waited long time for my actual appt. Date. Was seen by Mathew T. He is a university student dr. . I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM. He did all the talking. He was very very very full of himself. He claimed to know everything and taught me nothing. He just asked about health back ground and that was it. Just wanted to push expensive drug. Plus he knocked my doctor among other things. He claims it is a waste of time to take your blood as you can find out every 3 months with your AC1 test. Was not impressed. He needs to go back to school and learn something. Mostly to shut his mouth and listen to patients. When I told him I could not afford expensive drug he kept pushing, …his answer was “you-do not want to lose weight very badly” I went in for diabetes help. After a very long time Dr Ludwig came in for thirty seconds and just said “we need to increase your medication I will send report to your family dr. “ And she left. I can see why diabetes is out of control since you do not get the support or help from these so called clinics. Waste of government money if they don’t teach you anything. What happened to doctors being doctors and actually caring and helping their patients? To this day my dr has not received complete report. They do not send all the pages, even though he has requested.. sadly I have nothing good to say about this dr and the whole experience. I am lost more that ever with my diabetes.

Waited 6 months for my appointment. When I showed up she was very late and disorganized. Talked to me for about 1 minute and then told me there was nothing she could do as there was “nothing wrong” which was an outright lie. Did not listen to me or attempt to help me, when I was visibly distraught and all she did was roll her eyes at me. Complete lack of humanity and empathy and very ignorant. I should have read the reviews before I went to see her instead of wasting my time.

I had a 9:30 am appointment and had to wait 45 minutes. Once I met with Dr. Ludwig I understand why she runs behind with her appointments. She is truly amazing, interested and thorough. I had been waiting for 18 months from another endocrinologist about my lab results and a diagnosis. She looked at my lab results and diagnosed me with PCOS and we then worked on a plan and follow up. I wish I would have been referred to her first.

After reading all of these reviews as an obese person I was terrified to go to see her. She was late but over all listened to all of my concerns, we discussed what the next steps would be for my underlying health condition. I came away from the appointment with renewed hope for finally getting treatment.
