I met Dr. Elliot for the first time in 2019 after having multiple miscarriages. He was very helpful and I ended up getting and staying pregnant with my son. Flash to November of this year. I had an appointment booked with him after having multiple miscarriages while trying for our second child. I ended up getting pregnant ahead of the appointment and called if I could see him asap to see if there was anything I could take/do to prevent yet another miscarriage. Instead of helping me, the nurse cancelled my appointment and said it was for infertility. When I explained that I have had 10 miscarriages and this is why I was referred she said “well I can keep your referral on file and when you miscarry again you can call us.” She threw in a quick sorry. She didn’t even run it by Dr. Elliot and just took it upon herself to cancel. I had to beg my OB to help me which she very kindly did. I got the impression that Heartland only wants to see you if they can squeeze large amounts of money out of you. It’s disgusting and very unfortunate because I remember Dr. Elliot being a great doctor. As a nurse myself, I cannot understand the lack of compassion or complete lack of advocating for a patient. Peace out Heartland, I will never give you another dime!

I was referred to Dr. Elliot to be my doctor at heartland and he is absolutely amazing. Every appointment I’ve had with him I’ve never felt rushed, he answers all your questions, and I’ve never left an appointment feeling uncomfortable or anxious. My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and were trying for years to have a child. We were able to welcome a healthy baby girl this year. Would 100% recommended him.

Dr. Elliott was assigned as our doctor at Heartland. Both my partner and I have fertility issues and were not sure whether things would work out for us. (I have had doctors tell me to get comfortable with the idea of not having my own biological children) From the onset he was confident he could help us achieve a healthy pregnancy, and patiently worked with me through a series of mock cycles to ensure that we found the right plan to work. I trusted him (and the team at Heartland) fully and although it has been a bit of a long road, we are now expecting our first biological child! He is calm, kind, knowledgeable, pragmatic, and practical and provides exceptional care. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a complicated fertility or gynecological issue.

I've been with Dr. Elliott for a year now and can not say enough good things about him. Yes, he is often late for appointments - but that isn't an issue because he never rushes anyone out the door or off the phone. He is thorough and kind. I don't mind him being late if he allows me to go over my time slot too. Something I find rare. Very straight forward doctor that has a lot of compassion and can admit fault if there ever is. I am so grateful for him.

Im one of his patient at heartland clinic, I just got my laparoscopy surgery yesterday! Doc Elliot is amazing And his team, he will assure you that you are in a safe hand, i love his team even though i just saw them yesterday it seems we meet for a long time! Kudos! He is back in Winnipeg!! How did I land being his patient? His staff is wonderful. They understand patients in need and distress. I am glad to be his patient. He went out of his way to arrange my surgery despite not having current hospital privileges. He arranged for a colleague to be the surgeon and he was the assistant. This meant so much to me. The surgery was once more complex and longer than anticipated - thanks to both surgeons for going the extra miles and the great job!!

He was the on call doctor that delivered my baby in 2013, and I was very happy with him. I don't remember much of him while I was in labour except that he approved me to deliver in the regular room despite meconium being in my waters. Usually they transfer you to a different room and only the father can be with you but instead they squeezed 4 pediatricians, 2 nurses, a student midwife, my midwife, him, my mom and mother-in-law and husband into that tiny room, just so the grandma's could see the birth. I am grateful for that. After the birth he spent an hour and 15 minutes stitching up my tears and when he was done he took the time to explain to me why they were complcated. The grandma's both say he did a fantastic job delivering as well.

I saw Dr Elliot in January and was on treatment for just two months, I got pregnant in March. Such an amazing doctor. but sad to say the front staff is not helpful and not welcoming. they should be replaced or trained to be friendly.

When I walked in the office admin right when you enter is not warm at all, shes very closed and cold. I wish I would have had a better greating as this was my first time there. Once we were finished we waited in the waiting room for just over an hour past our appointment time. Then we waited in our room for another 25 mins. Once Dr Elliot came in he apologized for the delay, and got right down to business he was amazing, so helpful answered all my questions, even stupid ones. He even made a few jokes to lighten the mood. He gave me positive hopes that all would be figured out and everything would be fine. He told us that he is moving to Toronto in a few weeks and would no longer be my doctor, I was upset but I think Dr Mctavish will be just as great as dr. Elliot.

Dr. Elliott is a wonderful OB/GYN. I had him at both Heartland and HSC and would definitely use him again. He is knowledgeable and cares about his patients. Even when he is really busy, it never feels like he is rushing you out of his office. Great doctor!
