I have known doctor ament for 15 years and he is one of the few doctors who has attention to the details.. you will have to wait long hours but its always worth it! the discussion with about your health, your family health history down to your pets, your diet and water filter!! I love how he cares for you and makes you feel well cared for, never encountered from other doctors!.. and i am a nurse!

He really knows his stuff and is passionate about what he does. Sure, you have to wait a million years to see him, but that's because of how long he spends with each patient!

Dr. Ament is amazing. He does as much as he can in office, x-rays, bone dencity test, sonograms, blood test, etc..You will wait for hours but the attention he gives you is like no other. He is very well read and even on a quick nguess he is right. I had some stomach problem he did all he could and say maybe you have a gluten allergy. He referred me to another wonderful doctor and was right. I am intolerant to gluten. If you want a great doctor and don't mind the wait. Doctor Ament is for you!

Dr Ament is a unbelievable human being. There is nobody who cares about their patients like him. He is smart and compassionate. Very Very long wait in the waiting room. At first I was upset about waiting, but once I saw him I knew it was worth it. He is simply the best at what he does, He spends time with each patient, I have heard he is in the office seeing people till 2 in the morning. If you want to be treated by the best and cared for with respect,Dr Joseph Ament is your man!

Dr. Ament is an excellent doctor. Caring, thorough, and very, very dedicated. He works long hours because he cares. He is my family doctor, we all go to see him. Yes, the waiting line is long. Why? because people want to see him. He's that good. He is an oncologist. He diagnosed my sister's tumor when it was still miniscule. Dr. Ament thought there was a lump and had it examined. The surgeon was amazed Dr. Ament even knew it was there (biopsy confirmed). My grandmother is getting excellent treatment for her cancer (stage IV). Her recovery given the chemo treatment is amazing -- 12 months ago she was in agonizing pain, now she is walking around, and feisty as ever. He's more than an internal medicine doctor. He's an oncologist.. he's good and yes, he is busy.

Dr. Ament is an amazing, brilliant doctor and I would recommend seeing him. It is true that you will sit and wait hours before you get to see him, but the wait is worth it. My entire family see's Dr. Ament and we recommend him to all of our family and friends. July of 2007 was mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and basically given 6 months to live, because of Dr. Ament my mother is still here with us and she is in remission. If it were not for Dr. Ament my mother would not be alive. The reason why you wait so long to see him is because he is the best at what he does and because his specialty is Oncology and he makes sure each and everyone of his patients are comfortable and know what is going on with their health. I can honestly say that I have never met a more intelligent person than Dr. Ament. Sincerely, The Marsh Family

It is true what has been written... there is a loooong wait from your appointment time to see this doctor. Although you will have a headache sitting in the waiting area, I continue to have Dr. Ament as my primary physician because he is the most thorough doctor you will encounter. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and always available.

A brilliant doctor. The wait is extremely long - bring a book, a newspaper, download a few games on your blackberry -- whatever it takes. It's worth the few hours sitting there. I won't see any other internist and a number of my friends and family are now patients. Great with referrals -- refers you to quality doctors that accept your insurance and he communicates with them as needed. Highlt recommend!!

Man this guy knows his stuff and goes into details but the time spent waiting is a nightmare. 2-3hrs on the first visist. But I was forewarned, my friend said that he was good and usually takes a while. Was very impressed. Second visit after 2hrs I just got up and left. In between the blood work and xrays I was fuming and got a headache. No matter how good a doctor is you shouldn't have to wait beyong 30mins.
