The BEST paediatrician in Edmonton! Knowledgable caring patient and kind. Dr. Szymanski has been my children’s paediatrician from the moment they were born. My kids absolutely love him! They are now over the age of 10. I like how parents are allowed to sit in on appointments and ask questions. Dr. Szymanski makes parents feel like it’s a partnership in making decisions for the health of their children . You can ask any question and he never makes you feel silly for asking .He really makes it feel like you’re part of his extended family. He is able to fast track specialist appointments which we have needed more than once when our kids were ill. We also like that he is able to speak more than one language. We are very grateful that Edmonton has such a caring knowledgable and patient physician who advocates for overall children’s health and well-being. We are blessed to have such a wonderful doctor for our children. (July, 2023)

DR. Szymanski has been seen my daughter for 7 years, as my daughter always says doctor Szymanski is the best doctor. Every time we see him he welcomes us like family. My daughter always happy to see him.

We have been seeing Dr. Szymanski for 16 years. He is an absolute gem. My 10 year old twins boys and 16 year old daughter are ALWAYS excited to see him. He 100% treats you like family. We love him so much.

We’ve been seeing dr szymanski for 15 years . He treats us like family and always goes above and beyond for my child . Sometimes it’s a bit of a wait to see him , but that’s because he’s amazing and I can’t fault him for that . Highly recommend .

As others had said, he’s been MIA for almost a year. We LOVED him, but ultimately had to switch to a new pediatrician due to this. I understand privacy concerns, but there seems there should be a better way to handle this as opposed to being told to call back in a month every time and not being offered an alternative to assist with your children’s medical care. He’s a great doctor nonetheless. Hope he’s doing well.

Sadly Dr Szymanski is MIA for almost a year. Yes its a pandemic, but children need health care. Every time you call to book they say call back in a month or two and every time the "opening date" is extended. Today I was told to take my kids to emergency if I felt they were in need of a yearly check up! I feel like he wants to retire but doesn't want to do the work of referring all his pts to a new Dr and is just waiting until they all drop him and do the leg work themselves. Disappointing as he was such a great dr, but leaving your pts high and dry for a year is unacceptable.

Loved seeing dr Szymanski anytime my children got sick. He always gave me reassurance& and times he was honest with me about what needs to be done for my two kids(with their health) he wouldn’t sugar coat anything but he wasn’t a harsh either! He is definitely how a doctor should be! I always take my children from their year check ups and I get told he’s not in and the RUDE SNOBBY lady says she can get me in with someone else or take my kids to a walk-in clinic for their check ups! Why?!? We will wait till he returns in January. (If he hasn’t retired by then) I do hope the ignorant staff at allin clinic would mail us letters if he’s going to retire! He will be so difficult to replace! If you look, he’s top 10 peds doctor in Edmonton! That should say something! I absolutely adore him! If he retires I hope he enjoys every minute of it! But it will be so nice if ge keeps going at this for little longer lol.

I love Dr. Szymanski. He's engaging and has a wonderful manner. I recommend him highly. However, I totally agree that dealing with his staff is extremely challenging. We've been very fortunate not to have nearly any emergencies with our child, but the the one time we did it was during his vacation. I was told by his secretary that he was not in. That there was no one able to cover for him, and that we should attend a medicentre or the Stollery. The fact that we had been to the Stollery and needed information from him meant absolutely nothing. With Covid, his absence has been similar handled. The switch board simply says "go to a medicentre or the Stollery". This clinic has serious issues with its continuity of care. If you can see Szymanski you will be in good hands. But sometimes you'll be lucky to get through his staff.
