This was my first visit with Dr. Harris. It was about an hours wait to see him but I expected it would be at least that. My neurologist is a 2 hour wait and these are specialists, not general doctors. I want that time spent with me as well so I won’t complain about others getting it.
I know I am in good hands. After my appointment, I was booked for my surgery within 10 weeks! I was told it was fairly urgent but did not expect to be booked so soon.
I spoke with Lisa on the phone prior to my appointment but it was great to meet her in the clinic. She has been super to talk to. Always so polite and emailed me back right away with questions I had prior to coming to see Dr. Harris. I’m sure surgery will go well but all in all I am super happy with my team already. Thank you

I have rated the staff 1 star and punctuality 1. first appointment booked April 6. At the end of the appointment lisa have all my pre op paperwork to have completed. Which I did. Lisa gave me the next appointment date of April 21 at 1:45 to meet Dr Harris. I arrived at 1:30 and the nurse in charge at the front desk couldn’t find my appointment. I found the appointment card showing the date and time. Lisa came and said Dr Harris would be with me shortly. I waited almost 2 hours. Lisa failed to add me to the appointment schedule. Back on April 6th she said I would get my appointment date for surgery on the 21st. Which I didn’t. We completed more paperwork and was going to give me my pre op paperwork again. I said I did it. She stated that she would call me Friday afternoon. Received no call I called at 3:00pm. They were closed. I called first thing Monday morning spoke to Lisa. Asked her why she didn’t call. She explained that she needed to speak to Dr Harris and call me in the afternoon. Once again no call back. I called Tuesday morning left a message that she hadn’t called and all the mix up. She called and I missed the call. She explain that Dr Harris was ill. That she needs to rebook her appointments. Her appointments. I meet a him not her. That

Surgery was completed and Dr Harris did an amazing job! I was expecting more pain and more of a recovery process but it was great. Great surgeon, great nursing care and thanks to Lisa on such a speedy appointment and getting me in for surgery within 4 weeks. She really does go above and beyond for patients. Thank you

The best Ear Nose Throat Specialist that we could ever have. My husband had a tumor in his tonsil area and was at stage 4 cancer. The care he got by Dr. Harris and other team members that worked during his 14 hour surgery was to be commended. It is now 10 years later and my husband has survived although with eating complications but he is grateful to be alive. We admire Dr, Harris for being such a professional but also for his kind and caring person. He does not make a person feel inferior but puts himself on the same level as those he deals with. Our family also had the experience of Dr. Harris removing my thyroid as well as my daughters due to problems. We are so grateful for having this doctor deal with our family's health issues. Lisa, his receptionist, is so efficient and friendly which makes any visit pleasant. She is always so willing to assist in any way she can. I would recommend Dr. Harris to anyone that is dealing with ear, nose or throat problems. In our opinion, he is the best!

Dr. Harris and Lisa were the best team I have had the experience to meet. Dr. Harris did my sisters surgery for papillary thyroid cancer so when it was discovered that I had a mass I didn't hesitate but ask my family dr. if I could be referred to Dr. Harris. Dr. Harris like most specialities are extremely busy but you never felt rushed or that you left without your questions being answered. He took his time and explained everything and made sure to give you time to ask any questions. Lisa is truly amazing and very efficient at her job as well as making patients feel comfortable and informed about "next steps" I gave Dr. Harris 5 stars for punctuality because even though you may have had to wait to see him at this very busy ENT clinic at the UAH once with him he took the time with you to make sure all questions were answered. Kudos to Dr. Harris and Lisa!!

I want to thank Dr Harris for doing my surgery so quickly. He did a parathyroidectomy and a thyroidectomy. I only saw him once before the surgery and followed up with another Doctor. I wanted him to know that I feel so much better. My head is clearer, joint pain is much better, and heart palpitations are almost non-existent now. One of the best in the country. Was sent by my surgeon from another province bacause she felt that Dr. Harris was one of very few surgeons that could help me for parathyroid surgery. I had several previous surgeries with no success. Dr. Harris took me on as a patient and did surgery. He told me there was a pretty good chance that if my other surgeons couldn’t help me that he might not be able to find the pesky missing parathyroid. It took 6 hours in the operating room, but he did it! Now I feel great and have perfect parathyrod levels!
