Josh has been my doctor for 30 years. He keeps himself informed and up to date. When faced with difficult diagnostics, he does his homework and councels you with compasion and care. He his highly esteamed by his specialist colleagues. Josh understands and respects diversity.

Painfully long waits are the norm. Better caseload/scheduling is definitely in order. Generally helpful/effective when dealing with physical conditions but very deficient when dealing with mental health issues.

Jenny has been working in Dr. Auer's office for many years and is extremely efficient and helpful. While punctuality is often a problem, that is only because Dr. Auer is spending the extra amount of time with a patient needing it. Dr. Auer strives to ensure that all areas of a patient's wellbeing are checked in the course of successive visits, i.e. stress tests, mammograms, bone density tests, etc.. and keeps any eye on his patients as they age. I have been a patient of Dr. Auer's for over 35 years and will be hard pressed to find a more compassionate and caring doctor once Josh decides to retire.

Josh has been my doctor for over 20 years. The service that has been extended to me has always been of the highest quality. He listens, monitors and provide motivation to me achieving a healthy lifestyle. It has been a successful partnership.

Dr. Auer is always professional, courteous and very helpful. His assistant, Jenny, while very busy, always has a smile and acknowledgement for everyone. Going to the doctor isn't fun, but Dr. Auer's office makes it extremely pleasant.

if you have a morning appt, you will usually get in on time, but the pm timeframe is awful, you have to wait over 1 hour for your appt. Need to book 8 months in advance for yearly medical. very knowledgeable and helpful though

This rating is from 25 years ago. Dr. Auer was my physician until I came to Kingston. I am possibly moving back to Ottawa and wish I could become his patient again. He was young and just starting out in his practice and I had some medical issues which he kept on top of and made me feel very well cared for. I can recommend him highly from back then and hope is is still that caring Doctor.

Dr. Auer is invaluable to me. He listens, he doesn't rush you, and takes time to explain situations. He has been my doctor for over 30 years. He has excellent rapport with other doctors, who recommend him highly and good connections with specialists. He is a very dedicated doctor. His nurse is a major part of the team. She keeps the office running smoothly.

Because of the amount of time this doctor spends explaining details of personal medical conditions, which I consider invaluable, his punctuality is not always the best. However, his helpfullness and knowledge of my personal medical condition and how to address it is extremely important and worthwhile to me thus I can deal with not always being best of on time. He is a very approachable doctor and has never been rude or arrogant with me. His bed side manner is irreproachable. He is extremely knowledgable within his profession and knows his limitations. He has always steered me to the right specialist as the need has arisen. I have nothing but exemplary comments for this doctor.
