Biography
Dr. Watson grew up in Layton, Utah and graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. He subsequently attended the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and finished his orthopedic residency training in San Diego, California. He has been involved in research on the shoulder and upper extremity and has won orthopedic research awards as well as had several articles published. Between his medical school and residency training, Dr. Watson served as a flight surgeon in the US Navy. He was deployed aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and participated in Operations Desert Shield and Restore Hope and deployed to the Persian Gulf as well as other military operations. Dr. Watson is board certified and was recently re-certified, he has been practicing orthopedics for over twelve years with the last nine in the Davis County area. He has a particular interest in sports medicine including rotator cuff, labral repairs and stabilization of the shoulder and cartilage repair and ACL reconstruction of the knee.Other areas of interest: Arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle Knee Replacement Surgery Cartilage restoration and repair of the knee Fracture Management in children and adults.
