Dr. Pope, seems to be afraid of ordering tests or referring cases to specialists while he tries to resolve them. Instead he chooses to make assumptions on what the results would be if he ordered them. Dr. Pope is adverse to referring cases to specialists. With a condition I had a number of years ago he insisted on trying to treat the condition for months before finally referring to a specialist with a 6 month waiting period. I was left with a skin condition that was not only painful but embarrassing. Dr. Pope is very nice and has a great bed-side manner. I always have pleasant conversations with him. For treating non-serious conditions he is competent. When it comes to serious conditions, his inability to bring in the right specialists early and to properly investigate my issues now have me living with a disability.

Dr. Pope is a great doctor. I never have to wait. He is always on time. He takes the time to listen to me and help me resolve my issue. He remembers my family and asks about them. It is more personal if your Dr. remembers who you and your family are. He also is aware of my family health history and takes that into consideration when diagnosing me. I think Dr. Pope is great!!

BEEN WITH DR POPE FOR YEARS. YES HE HAS A SENSE OF HUMOUR, BUT I TOO FIND THAT HE IS RUSHED, DOESN'T DO ENOUGH TESTS AND DOESN'T ALWAYS TAKE THE INDIVIDUAL PATIENT'S PERSONALITY INTO ACCOUNT. I DON'T FIND THAT HE GIVES OUT PRESCRIPTIONS WILLY NILLY. HE ALSO NEEDS TO ASK PATIENTS IF THEY HAVE A DRUG PLAN & GIVE OUT SAMPLES MORE.

I have been with Dr. Pope going on 15 yrs now. My husband had gotten me to come in and see him as my orginal family doctor was getting old and wasn't doing what, we thought was a good job. I find that Dr. Pope is an excellent Dr. who cares a great deal for his patients young and old. He was there throughout my pregnancy with my daughter and had delieverd my daughter and once my son was born,he came in to see me and my son at the hospital. Whenever we needed to see him, he has always asked questions on our health and listened to what we had to say.

Dr.Pope is a great person first and also a great doctor. Example:he spent a lot of time at our house with a dying family member. She loved him for it and our entire family will always appreciate his kindness. Myself, I suffer with a debilitating back problem (Spondy anyone?) which leaves me in constant pain and makes life pretty rotten for me. Having seen surgeons,a pain specialist, physiotherapists etc, left me quite despondent as I had to "learn to live with my disability". I finally turned to Dr.Pope desperate for help and I'm happy to say that since that day, my life has improved and my overall health and fitness levels are improving too. Dr.Pope works with me to help manage my pain and he is always available for me. Our entire family has known Dr's Pope, Cescon and Ward for around 25 years and we know that they deserve great praise. If people only knew the sacrifice & endless hours of hard work they put into making OUR lives better, they would surely join me and say Thanks Doc!!!

Dr. Pope has been my doctor for many years. He used to be amazing at getting your problem solved and is always supportive and full of humour. I find that he has less patience now and is not doing the tests he should be - he just prescribes you drugs without running the appropriate tests. He needs to take things more seriously and be more thorough like he used to be.

Dr Pope is to relaxed and believes humour is good in every situation, it's not and he should learn to read his patients a little better. When dealing with Dr Pope for my father, he made me feel that this was a necessary evil he had to go through, dealing with old people, and that he really didn't care. Was always courteous, but not really listening to what was being said. I get the senses that he is the Doctor in the office for the elderly and he is just taking them through the motions until the end. Not a very satisfying feeling.

Dr Pope is a very nice person. I believe also that he is one of the best doctors when the problem is not too serious or if it's the only problem the patient has. When the patient has a comples of health problems than the patience and overall view and consideration is lacking. Maybe it's time consuming, maybe it's tiring to take care of patient like that. I don't know.
