I've been seeing Dr. Konner for a rare uterine cancer since 2010, and have found him to be competent, communicative, and good-natured. He keeps well informed on the latest developments in his field, especially chemotherapies. He will tailor the chemo to suit the individual's case and ongoing physical condition, not push for any particular regimen or clinical trial. His staff is young, pleasant, and well-mannered. The downside is that the wait to be seen can be very long. However, I feel I've gotten very good treatment, and recommend this doctor to those with a rare or otherwise problematic female cancer.

Dr. Konner is energetic, upbeat, and has an incredible bedside manner. We were in awe of his compassion and caring. We went to him for a second opinion on Primary Peritoneal Cancer, and have decided to make him the lead doctor on the case. New treatments which other hospitals will not touch are par for the course at this leading edge hospital. He also teams with the entire oncology staff to review cases, so the sum of their experience is available. If your insurance will not cover MSK hospital, see if they will cover a second opinion by any doctor. Atlantis did this for us, even though they are not accepted at MSK. Also, the entire team at MSK was incredible, from the receptionist, to the nurses, to the social worker. My case is too new to know how the outcome will be, but Dr. Konner has given me more hope for survival than anyone else has offered (Remember to pray that whatever doctor you choose will be a good messenger for you to have a complete and speedy recovery.
