Dr. Jonker is one of a kind! I am a young patient diagnosed with colon cancer and I am so grateful to have been under his care! Throughout my 6 months of chemo, I had appointments set up on a regular basis. At every appointment, he would answer all my questions and examine how my system reacted to the treatment (incase any modifications had to be made). He gets to the exact point and does not waste time. There were a few instances when I had to urgently reach his office, and I got a callback within minutes! I really recommend him for colon cancer treatment.

Rude, arrogant, told my friend point blank that she only had a few months to live while about 5 of his helpers looked on (He did not ask the patient for permission to allow his interns in the room). No empathy, quite brutal. He said "there's nothing we can do for you". She had no idea that she was so ill. She thought she was going to get treatment and that she had a small cancer that had not spread, instead he just gave her a death sentence. Perhaps because she is a senior he was not even going to try to save her. I am shocked that he had some positive reviews... can't imagine how.

I am too slightly surprised. My father has advanced inoperable stage IV colon cancer. I have been to every appointment with him from the get go. I find doctor Jonker to be very arrogant and impatient as well. For example, mentioning that he should have started my father on chemo two weeks earlier, which we would have gladly done if he had only told us to. He was on holiday and it took over a month to get our initial visit with him after the diagnosis. Very frustrating. He has a tendency not to look at my father in the eyes when speaking and is very brief. Every appointment we scramble to get in our questions before he darts out the door. His nursing staff is almost worst. We have two primary care nurses who I donèt even think know my father to look at him. I understand these doctors are overwhelmed but we want to believe we have the best team working for us on our side and itès difficult for us to feel this way with this team. Sorry Dr. J, you get a bad rating.

I only met him once so far to look after my stomach cancer. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, assertive, patient and treats you as a really special person not just a number. Very quickly he arranged for all needed tests. Called me directly instead of asking his secretary. He is a great doctor with a very good assistant too. I am looking forward to his supervision over my chemo before surgery, surgey and then chemo and radiation after surgery ( the MAGIC Trial). My name is: Naiim Shafey, PhD, P.eng.

Excellent Doctor. He has a hard ime keeping his appointments on time but that is because he has so many patients. And he will answer every question. He might seem direct and to the point but he needs to be. Best doctor I've had and I've had lots.

As a former patient, I can advise you that Dr. Jonkers is not only brilliant but empathetic too. I am at Stage 4 and am cancer free thanks to the treatment he provided.

Was very condescending and short with his time. I am surprised at the other two comments. He did not seem very pleased to take questions and he did not like me asking him my he is suggesting a certain course of therapy.

Punctuality or lack there of has a very good reason in this doctors case. he spends what ever time is required to ensure he has adequately looked ater his patient at hand before moving to the next. It takes time and he's there to help. He's extremely helpful and I believe very knowledgeable in his field. He has been my doctor for the past three years I literally put my life in his hands.A very likeable guy with an excellent manner. R.G.Blair
