The nurses are very nice and helpful. Dr. Clark is nice . I felt like a person ,knowing there's someone out the that cares about patients. He's very helpful and I don't know how to said it. I did felt that I was getting care for my head as well. I really wanted to tell him,THANK YOU VERY MUCH
But I think I will stat anti-social for now. Like you said I know what to do and I will not trouble you anymore. Stay to be a GOOD KIND DOCTOR the world needs more people like you.

I'm quite surprised by the negative reviews here, as my personal experiences with Dr. Clark have been distinctly positive. He attended to me in the ER twice this week, and throughout both visits, he exhibited a commendable combination of professionalism and friendliness. He paid careful attention to my health issues and treated my concerns with utmost seriousness. In my opinion, Dr. Clark ranks among the most amiable and competent physicians in Burnaby's ER.

Amazing doctor! I can’t believe how energetic, calm, and caring he manages to be in a ridiculously busy and frankly depressing walk-in emergency hospital ward. He was extremely knowledgeable too, not just rushing to judgment, but carefully analyzing the symptoms and possibilities, even calling in an expert in my complex case. Absolutely lovely guy and first-rate medical practitioner. We need more like him.

I came in a couple days before Christmas and Dr Clark was kind, compassionate and listened to my concerns. I was able to enjoy Christmas because he helped me with my pain. I also got an MRI the next day. The best doc I have ever had.

My experience with Dr Clark is this and honest opinion

Knowledgeable professional acting quickly for his patients.
He diagnosed me correctly when 3 others missed it.
He took care of my medical needs in a quick way , pushed for CT and MRI. He listened to me .
Im in my late 60s and on a scale of 1 to 10 I have only given out 3 or 4 , 10s .
I give Dr Clark 10 out of 10.
Made me feel I was in good hands.

I’ve met Dr.Clark at Burnaby Hospital 3 times now and first time was nice and he took his time and seemed to really care about me and what was going on and my pain but the most recent trip when he was my doctor in the ER, he remembered me but completely dismissed that I was in pain and that I didn’t want medication or any of that but that I needed more than that for my condition and he kept telling me that ‘you’ll be fine don’t worry about it.’ He also did a 2 second physical exam of my stomach of just pressing on it but didn’t tell me he was going to so it wasn’t told to me he was going to do it nor was it consented and after that 2 seconds he said ‘you’re fine’ as if he knew from that 2 seconds of feeling my abdomen that nothing was wrong. He told me not to stress so much and to just take the medication he prescribed me even though he’s prescribed it to me before and I told him last time I took it that I did nothing. Completely dismissed how I felt and my thoughts. I just find it weird how everytime I see him his mood is different everytime. Also overheard him talk poorly about his resident at the nurses station as I was placed in the exam room right in front of the nurses station. Pretty sure as your resident’s superior and at a teaching hospital you shouldn’t say that stuff unless you got something to back it up, and even so, you should say it to your superior, not as gossip. And before he examined me, he went to the guy in the room next to me and was in there for less than a minute and saw his chart and looked and him and said ‘this is not an emergency, this isn’t important and you can wait to go to urgent care in the morning for this okay. this is not important or an emergency’ and just left his room and didn’t even treat the patient after they waited and they came to the ER for absolutely nothing. His mood shifts so much I think he’d benefit from mental health treatment and time off.

Please stay away from Dr. Jamieson Clark for the following reasons that I experienced:
1. Dr. Clark was my family doctor in Montreal. Without any notice to his patients, without any notice to the hospital staff, he simply disappeared and left over 800 patients stranded with no family doctor. He had NO regard for his sick patients. Now we are all trying to find a family doctor.

2. Comes across as very nice, but possesses a Sr. Jykell and Mr. Hyde syndrome (comes across as bipolar)! I was in his office when I asked Sr. Clark if an MRI would be a good idea for my problem. Dr. Clark flipped on me and started to get upset and aggressive by telling me that He is the “doctor” and I am not! He continued to tell me that patients like me think they know it all … and on and on he went. I left his office in disbelief and found myself alone.

I then found another doctor who strongly recommend an MRI, which led to an urgent major surgery to rectify my problem. Had I continued without the surgery, I may have ended up with paralysis!!

3. He also possess a high level of arrogance (which I am sure, drove his behaviour stated above).

Again, please find a different family doctor.
Stay away from Dr. Jamieson Clark!!

I’m confused by the negative comments and think they are possibly trolls or have the wrong doctor. Dr. Clark is amazing and very kind and compassionate. He listens patiently and provided us with wonderful care.
