Dr Shore is a gem! I do agree with the other comments that this new secretary is rude and not welcoming at all. When a patient calls the office probably not feeling well they need sensitivity not a B$&9 on the other end of the phone

Dr.Shore is incredibly helpful and I'm glad to have her as my family physician. The main problem is the secretary. Now that Laura is retired, I find that I have to put in a tremendous amount of effort to book appointments. There have been multiple instances where I have called and emailed daily without receiving a response. This lack of follow through is concerning, especially in the case of prescriptions needing to be filled by a certain time. When I've gone in office, I've been welcomed by a firm and rude secretary. When checking in (or asking follow-up questions) she gives me the impression that me being there is an inconvenience to her. Hopefully she warms up more to her role and the patients, as this has been a recurring theme for multiple months.

Dr Shore has been my physician for 30 plus yrs. Dr Shore is wonderful Dr and takes your health seriously. Thankful to have her as a physician. I hope she doesn’t retired anytime soon. I do find that she is so busy and inudated with patients over the last 10 yrs that she can’t dedicate much time. Congratulations Laura on your retirement, all the best to you. I will miss you at the office and our little talks, your a wonderful lady.
I have been in the office with the new receptionist, it is a different vibe for sure. Hope she warms up some.

I love Dr. Shore but the new secretary is absolutely awful - very rude, insisted I pay a fee to renew a prescription when I have been a patient for over 10+ years, did not know to look in my chart to find the medication I needed refilled, specifically asked what it was for. Thumbs down.

The office has changed a lot! The new lady is rude and does not smile or speak nice to you when you are there. The office was run so nice before. Maria was friendly and always smiled and spoke to you nicely. I guess she decided to leave. Its just not the same! I hope Dr Shore notices the change and its a change for the bad

I would just like to say I am not impressed at all with the new lady who is in with Laura. She is very firm when she speaks to you and not very helpful. I guess Maria left and I am sad to say the office is not run like it did when she was there. They do not reply to emails even when they ask us to send one. You call for advice and you get nothing. So I would say the office has changed a lot in the last few months. It's sad it was good before

One of the best family physicians in Ottawa. Considering my own experience/expertise with evaluating Human Factors (as an investigator) and from my own experience with services provided by Lads, Clinics, hospitals in Ottawa, I am confident Dr Shore's office provides excellent service to her clients (if you are lucky to be taken as a client!). Of note is the also the excellent knowledge, diligence and hard work of the admin staff, Laura and Maria (fantastic ladies, always there to help you!).

I am here to say that there is more staff in that office than Laura!!! Maria goes way beyond for the people. He emails and looks things up to help you. She booked my mother for her covid shot just to help myself out. So people who are just commenting on Laura well you should realize that most of the work is done by Maria as far as I can see. I always get her and she so very sweet to my mother and my family. I call in the afternoon just for her. I’ve been goi f to Dr Shores office for 10 years and have only had maybe 6 good times with Laura. She’s told me to do things and it’s made my health worse. Im not saying she’s a bad person everyone is allowed a bad day but ones are forgetting that there is someone else who probably has booked or done something for you in the pass. So if you saying good job include Maria and Laura both.

I’m here to say that Laura is wonderful. As a previous patient commented, she has a particular personality (as many do!) and if you don’t get her, that seems to be your issue. She is very caring and helpful. I feel like I’m talking to a friend at times and if that’s not for you, then shut it down. I’ve suffered multiple pregnancy losses and Laura and Dr Shore went above and beyond for me when I needed that care and compassion.

I would highly recommend Dr Shore AND her staff to anyone. I feel lucky to be a patient in this practice.
