I am so thankful to have had Dr. Chitayat during a very stressful time in my pregnancy. If you speak to other doctors at Sinai, they will openly tell you he is one of the smartest people they’ve ever met. He was very calming while speaking with me about my particular case, knowledgeable, and clear about all the options we had. He and his team went above and beyond to do research on a little known genetic mutation I carry, and even sourced specific labs to help us with intricate testing. I’m so, so grateful to Dr. Chitayat and his team.

Dr Chitayat was phenomenal. We were looking at a potential Downs Syndrome diagnosis. He was exceedingly calm, encouraging, and presented us neutrally with our options without making us feel any pressure in any one direction. He would remember us between appointments- was very personable. He took his time with appointments and we never felt rushed at all. We are very grateful for his care.

Dr. Chitayat is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.

During an incredibly difficult time where we ultimately decided to terminate our first pregnancy for medical reasons he was supportive and informative every step of the way.

He and his team go above and beyond to help his patients. I really value him and his support, and I don't know what we would've done without the team at Mount Sinai last year.

Unfortunately, I disagree with the views of many here. He may not be a bad doctor, but he has many flaws. I was introduced to Dr. Chitayat due to a complete misdiagnoses of IAA by Paediatric Cardiologist Dr. Lynne Nield at Sick Kids. When my daughter was born, Dr. Chitayat came to my daughter’s incubator and insisted we do genetic tests on her because he notice her eyes and upper lip was smaller than normal. After another doctor investigated, this wasn't true. I confronted him about the matter and later he started back peddling that he didn't state that. Be very careful with this doctor!!! as he loves to perform genetic tests for no reason, which ultimately his team gets paid to do and they would like to keep that budget.

I have the upmost respect for him from 3 months pregnant and at 15 years to date. I could write a book about him. I have had in person at clinic, phone calls, virtual to visits at Sick Kids and go beyond all that. My son and I are very blessed to have him in our corner. And he knows he is well loved by my family in all he does for us.

Dr. Chitayat is truly one of the nicest medical professionals I've ever met. He's not only great at what he does, but he's compassionate and really takes an interest in his patients. He walked me through my pregnancy following a loss, and understood the fear and anxiety I felt at each appointment. I'm so happy he was my doctor!

Not only is Dr. Chitayat an amazing Dr. He is an incredible man. He helped my wife and I through a very difficult time when we had to terminate the pregnancy of our first child. He was so comforting and compassionate. He gave us his cell phone number where we could reach him and always answered our calls and questions. Less than a year later we were blessed with the birth of two beautiful identical twin boys. Dr. Chitayat was not involved in the pregnancy yet still came to check in on us to see how things were going and even called several times to see how mom and the babies were doing. He is a special person and anyone that is lucky enough to have him as their Dr is truly blessed.
