He repaired a mitral valve prolapse for me in feb 2014.
Can’t say enough about his professionalism. Was looking at a possible valve replacement but Dr Kent was able to repair the defect instead. Can’t say the recovery was fun but I’m still here and so thankful for him, his team, the foothills hospital and the province of Alberta.

Dr. Kent performed an extremely risky surgery on my dad on November 10th after he had already spent 16 hours in the O.R. the day prior. Dr. Kent gave our family confidence in him and his expertise and he remained informative and very kind to my mother and all four of kids as we hoped and prayed for our Dads life. We are still here battling and praying but are continually grateful for the expertise and compassion that Dr. Kent has shown us during this extremely difficult time. We love Dr. Kent so much we have created a “Build A Bear” mascot in his name and bring it to my Dads bed in the ICU regularly. I have no words to express how you touched my feelings when you called me after my husband surgery to brief me in detail all the challenges you encountered the rare complications during open heart surgery and made it successful. After surgery he visited the patient with so much loving and caring personality. Also the staff at Foothills hospital were amazing caring and helpful. A Big Thank You !

Dr. Kent performed aortic valve replacement surgery (minimally invasive). Everytime I met with him, he was patient, willing to answer all questions, very pleasant, and smart. The surgery went very well and the in-hospital follow up care was outstanding. I felt very confident in his abilities.
