Dr. Kordon was an excellent doctor! I was his patient for over 25 years. He took time to explain my problems and he was very thorough. Sometimes it was hard to get appointments, but it was always worth the wait. Some of his staff was ok. Some of the nurses were friendly. I was very sad when he suddenly retired.

My entire family had Dr. Kordon from the time we moved to Columbia (1974) to when he retired. He was awesome! I am a healthcare provider, and I recognize excellence! The problem: most office staff were just terrible, and this is exactly what makes or breaks a medical office! Certainly, we were eager to go when it was time, but it was not because of Dr. Kordon. I hope he's living well and happy in his retirement!

It's the same with most doctors I've gone to. They don't help much until I diagnose myself and prove it to them. Only then do I get any real treatment to fix or control my problems and move on with life.

Dr. Kordon is a good Dr. Unfortunately, his office staff is rude, insensitive and not very helpful. Dr. Kordon is never available to speak you directly. I have been a patient with dr. Kordon for 15 years and looking for a new doctor with a supportive staff.

I just switched from this Dr. I'd have an appointment and wait in a packed waiting room for an hour while numerous sales reps came in and went right back. Staff doesn't return phone calls and seems to want to talk you out of needing an appointment when you do get someone on the phone. Dr Kordon is fine, but his office manager is awful, I chose to go elsewhere.

I found Melvin Kordon by asking nurses and technicians who their GP was. When he was recommended by five people, I became his his patient and that was 12 years ago. He is the epitome of an old country doctor - overworked and understaffed. That is why getting an appointment with him is not easy, but it is always worth the wait. The person in charge of his office name is Elizabeth and she is terrific. His nurse is great. When he has had physician's assistants, they were also great.

I love Dr. Kordon... my daughter and I had been with him aproximately 15 years. I finally left in January 2009 due to one woman on staff who is very short and kert. I've never met someone so nasty in the healthcare field. She has been there for quite some time and I appears from the previous comments things have not changed. I recieve good excellent care from my current plan, however I miss Dr. Kordon. I just could deal with the "attitude lady" any longer. I've rated the lady on staff on "Helpfulness".

This doctor is great but his office is horrible! The people that answer the phone are rude and not helpful and they never call you back or process referrals in a timely fashion. I had to call back 3X and they had lost my request twice. This was only on one occasion. This doctor lost my business because of his staff which is really a shame.

I have been Dr.'s Kordon patient for 15 years and he's always caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, accurate and his diagnosis are always on the target. Thank you Dr. Kordon for your outstanding care.
