I am making these comments as my son is too unwell to do this himself. This Dr was supposed to be treating my son. He missed 2 appointments without notice. He told my son to text him if he was ever in crisis but never responded to a single text message. I consider Dr Ouzas to be incredibly unprofessional and at $500 a consult an absolute rip off!

Dr Ouzas is a knowledgeable and gentle man who, while filling up much of the appointment time with quite unnecessary chitchat and irrelevant questions, eventually gets to the point and gives you the prescriptions and help you need. He would be a good person to chat with if the appointments weren't so expensive, but as stated, he does give you the prescriptions required.

However, much could be done to improve this practice. He often runs at least 1 hour behind schedule, more often 2 hours behind, so patients come in on time yet spend much of their day in a uncomfortably small waiting area with other patients in the same position, reading nearly decade old magazines. If your appointment is in the late afternoon, you may not be able to book your next appointment at the end of your current one as the receptionist will have gone home, which is very irritating if you have a condition impacting time management, organisational skills or anxiety around phone calls.

While the receptionist is absolutely delightful and answers most questions well when called, communicating via email is as painful as watching paint dry. After nearly daily check ins and reminders after requesting Dr Ouzas to fill in a form, I feel lucky he ever completed it at all, even with all of the mistakes of personal information and brief responses within it. I will try hard to not make the mistake of needing a formed filled by him again.

If you require a low level of support, only need a prescription and are willing to wait for long periods of time before an appointment (or prefer video calls), he is a good choice. However, if you require more communication with your psychiatrist, I would personally look elsewhere for more effective practices.

Dr Ouzas looks at a patient as a whole person not just someone with mental illness.I found he was interested in the effects of my physical problems on my mental health and he was also keen to reduce medication to only what is definitely needed. I liked that he treated me as someone who was able to be involved in the decision-making of my treatment. Yes he runs a bit late sometimes but then I've not met a good psychiatrist who always runs on time!

Dr Ouzas is an excellent doctor. He has made a real and positive contribution to my life and every visit has been worthwhile. Therapy takes dedication and patience on behalf of patients too and when I put that effort in I see results. It has been a long, uphill battle but I feel my depression has become much more manageable thanks to the great support and treatment I have received from Dr Ouzas.

After almost four years of treating our son wirh weekly sessions and medication our son in fact got worse and not bette. Dr Ouzas seems to be more interested in maintaining oaying clients rather than helping anf curring human beings.

Dr Ousaz was personable enough but did not seem to be all that good a listener in that he seemed to overly question my concerns about the condition I was seeing him for and focused on an illness that I had already had treated and managed successfully by a previous medical pratitioner. He wished to retreat this previously managed illness, get me off the medication which was successfully managing which quite honestly would have been a complete waste of my time had I kept seeing him.

He also seemed to ask a lot of rather irrelevant questions about my early childhood and even my childbirth which was strange in that the conditions I saw him with regard to have a genetic basis.
