Relief!!! Finally, after three years and five rhuematologists (and a trip to The Mayo Clinic), someone who knows about treating a patient with Lupus!!He is great...I drive 6 hours to see him and I would wait all day for my appointment if necessary. When you finally find someone who knows how to treat you and understands the disease you have...can you really put a wait time on it?!? I'm thankful to have found him!

I have been going to Dr. M for over 20 years. He basically treats the whole person. I would wait 8 hrs. if necessary to see him. Anna, his PA, is fantastic, too. I would trust him with anything he told me to do.I plan to wait when I go, but know that when I am in with him, he is concentrating only on me, so I can't complain. There are very few doctors around now that have the bedside manner, knowledge and personality that he possesses. I just hope he outlives me, because if something happens to him, I don't know what I would do. Sure, you wait when you go, but you can't put a time on his knowledge.

Cheerful, caring and knowledgeable Dr, however, when I resumed visiting with him after about 2 years, due to him not being in my insurance, the office staff refused to give me an appointment because they claimed he was not seeing new patients. They said that since my records were no longer there I would begins as a new patient. I explained I hadn't been gone that long and their response was that "anyway he is no longer seeing medicare patients". In reality the bulk of a rheumatologist's patients are on medicare. Very disappointed with the office management, but must admit he is a great doctor, a keeper. Finally, yes prepare yourself for a long wait.

I was turned away in severe pain after many years as a patient from Dr. Myerson. The staff would not tell Dr. Myerson that I was there. They were rude & appeared uncaring & I almost passed out but they were ready to help me out of the office. This is not the doctor/staff I use to know. So I am in storage you get kicked to the curb because you are old now. Dr. Myerson has always told me to just walk in and that was what I did & I was turned away from any care. The worst STAFF I have even witnessed in a Dr.'s office. I do hope that Dr. Myerson does read this. He is a good doctor but rude & pain do not go together. I currently cannot take enough pain medication to stop the pain. It is good to know that you dr. is always there. S. Henderson

He really helped me and I liked him very much. I just didn't see why he had to schedule appts 20 min apart, then spend two hours with each patient. I appreciated the care but had to change doctors when I began having to take a day of vacation, arrive at 9 am, and be seen at 5 pm.

Dr. Myerson is the most thorough doctor I have ever been to. He is personable and will take as much time as need be. One the down side, there is always a wait for him, but it's worth it.

I have been Dr. Myerson's patient for 12 years. His knowledge is current & reliable. He is available, compassionate and candid about what is possible and my responsibilities to my self/treatment. In this 12 years I have gone from constant pain; limited mobility; and hopelessnes to a fully functioning professional again; mostly pain free. Most importantly I am knowledgeable about this disease and the advanced medications with which I am treated; what I can and can not do. When I wait extra time during my visits I am patient because I know the importance Dr. Myerson places on "relating to the whole patient" as a way of assessing and treating each case. Recent improvements have minimized the wait time. I recommend Gary Myerson to anyone suffering the consequences of rheumatoid arthritis. Frances Baldwin 2009

#1 doctor in his field in my opinion. Has a rare combination of great intelligence and good bedside manner. Sure, appointment times are a disaster, but what do you expect from a doctor that is in such high demand??? I'm willing to wait all day if necessary for this guy, he's the best.

I honestly believe he saved my life when few others could have fought with the insurance company to get off label application approved on his day off while I was in intensive care. Just got home from the hospital. Oh, he had met me ONCE and was referred to him by a doctor friend of mine. Have not received his bill from the hospital, but would be pretty darn hard to complain when one saves your life. In office visit was average wait, but give me a break. Not important here. In follow up visit in January my appointment is at 1:30 I think. Unwilling to complain unless he doesn't see me until after 11:00 PM.
