The first appointment with Dr. Erb, I had to wait for 3 hours. Weeks later, I had appointment for the epidural and they wanted me to wait 5 hours to get my shot. So I decided to leave, and when you tell them about the wait, they don’t give a dam.
Than it was decided to try a pain pump, but there are steps to do first. See psychologist to make sure I can mentally handle a pain pump. Two appointments were scheduled with Dr. Erb (KWOC) to try different medications for the pump. Someone in his office miss read the psychologist notes, so they cancelled my appointments. The night before Dr. Erb wanted to see me.
When I got there, they knew I was upset. After all, I was waiting for something to deal with my pain. Dr. Erb said “I’m north Pittsburgh and I can take anything you say. “I have older patients with rheumatoid arthritis that are nicer”. I admit I wasn’t pleasant. The Dr. might be good at medicine, (which still I can vouch for), but he terrible at running a business…In Florida, there are old people everywhere, and not enough pain centers. If he took his business up north, he would never make it. Another example, I was told by a patient, right before a lady was lying on the table for her epidural that the staff forgot to get payment, and the doctor couldn’t start until they received payment. WOW
I kept my mouth shut and understood what he was saying. Since then when calling their office to find out the game plan, I try to be more pleasant. I ask my psychologist to fax another letter, restating I’m a strong candidate for the pain pump. As of today, 12-13-18, I still have no appointment for the pain pump trail. One time, I was in so much pain that I left a message at Dr. Erb office for any kind of relief I still never received a phone call. Now my feet hurt so much I spend 85% of my life in bed. I was told before moving here that finding a good doctor is the same as trying to find a good contractor, which is almost impossible.
I’ve been in a lot of pain since my operation at the Texas Back Institute. Dr. Beiderman cut into my nerves. I came out with two rods and 10 screws in my back and a lot more pain than before. I get the pleasure of wearing diapers all the time. I don’t like going out anymore, because I’m afraid of soiling myself. Worst of all, I can’t make love to my wife. Our relationship has suffered and I’m under a lot of stress.
When we moved to Florida, our first priority was to find a good pain management office and a caring doctor. IF I can find a caring doctor, I would settle for a doctor that was organized, but not ERB. ON 12/7/18, I CALLED FOR MEDICAL MARAJUANA, AS OF 12/18/17, THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED A PHONE. PLUS WHAT DO I CARE IF LEANN WAS BACK DATING HERE DIVORCE HUSBAND.

I'm a medical professional and, unfortunately, have needed to see pain specialists for many years. Dr. Erb is the best! Yes, one may need to wait for an appointment, and yes, one may sit in the waiting room for a while, but the treatment one receives from him and his staff is remarkable. He answers a questions, provides appropriate treatment, and is a model of patient based (needs and wants) medicine. He's not a miracle worker, but he's made a difference in my life.

I went to Dr. Erb in 2015 for Right sciatica. I had 2 sessions of epideral injections and was pain free until 2 months ago when the sciatica came back on my left side. I went again and was told I needed injections on my left side. I was told that someone would call me within 3 days to schedule an appointment for the epiderals. It's been 8 days now and no one has called me even after leaving a voice message. If your looking for quick help this is not the Dr.you want to go to.

Dr. Erb has been every bit as good as my pain management doctor in NY. Two years ago, when I came to Sarasota I was not used to the way offices were run in Florida. I thought that each visit would be with my doctor not with a Nurse Practioner. When I stated that I did not to see a NP on my visits and that I wanted to see Dr Erb, I have subsequently only seen Dr Erb. I may have to wait a little longer for an appointment (3 or4 days, at the most) but I see Dr Erb. He also listens to my issues with companishion and does not push pills. He makes suggestions and listens to my concerns we then discuss a course of treatment. Doctors are not mind readers and patients need to take responsibility for their own treatment. Doctors, also, cannot be blamed for either Medicare or workmen's compansation rules. They, like us, have to live within the federal or state guidelines. I would recommend him without question.

Unfortunately this just another typical Florida pill mill. This office is much more concerned with money and giving out meds than they are with actual patient care.

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Erbs for 3 years .He takes his time in explaining the reasons for his pain Never gives meds that are not necessary. He is a very compassionate doctor. His pain clinic is NOT a pill mill. If that's what you want go elsewhere.

After two visits, while transferring my care from Ft Myers due to distance, Dr Erb "threw me under the bus" when the law changed for Tramadol from unscheduled to scheduled. It turns out the my former treator, Pain Managemet in Ft Myers, wrote a three month scripy for Tramadol.. After seeing Dr Erb two times, and when the lew changed my script came un fillable because it was written by a nurse practicioner, Dr Erb would not
