Absolute worst! Tediously filled out intake forms describing symptoms, some of which have been diagnosed via imaging or labs and physically treated by other specialists. Was refereed by my orthopedist. Well, when he came in I realized this is the same guy that pushed me off on his PA five years ago, who gave me antidepressant medications until one caused me to have intense suicidal thoughts. I’ve been so ill, and didn’t recognize his name/address I didn’t realize I was going back to this practice. He walked in, felt my hands, said I was double-jointed and that I have fibromyalgia (just like I’ve seen other reviewers say). Never mind that I have imaging/MRI findings indicating moderate arthritis and bursitis that responds to steroid injections. He told me I need to contact PCP for psychiatrist to prescribe me an antidepressant for my depression, anxiety, and pain. The first two of which I DONT HAVE, and never said I have. Just because I have legitimate diagnosed via imaging pain, does not me I am depressed, anxious nor that my pain is in my head. I have a high ANA off the charts, and image is nosed inflammation. (he literally never saw nor asked for my records or why I was refereed) When I asked if he was going to run was going to run labs, he said - ok sire yeh I can do that. As if he hadn’t planned to. I’m interested to see if I hear back about those results. I’m going to track them down and take them to someone else. What a huge waste of a nearly three month wait. Could have used that time to wait for a doctor that’s actually concerned with physical diagnostics and not someone who would leave me sobbing in the parking lot, insinuating that I’ve somehow managed to manifest legitimate physical ailments from a depression that I DO NOT suffer from. I wish that my only complaint was the arrogance like others have mentioned, I’d be ok with that if he actually cared to diagnose and treat appropriately.

I relate so much to what these poorly treated patients are saying. I have an auto immune disease that he has refused to treat. He is not hands on and you will only deal with his rude PA. I wasted a year of my disease not receiving treatment. And no my pain was not caused by fibro. It was caused by my disease.

Dr. Sutej takes time to fully explain your diagnosis and answer any questions. He's open to changing your diagnosis if symptoms point in another direction. Since he works with illnesses that are not always easily diagnosed, this is critical. I have no idea how much worse things would have gotten for me had I not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and started treatment a couple of years ago.

Dr Sutej is awesome! He helped me when no one else could or would. I was dismissed as needing anti depressants like I was crazy and making up all my pain. Went to EVERY other kind of Dr trying to figure out what was wrong and then I found him! Some of the posts say he's "odd and arrogant" but who cares! If he helps. There is not a one size fits all, everyone is different, but you got to know he sees patient after patient that is in pain or lots of pain or I wish I was dead pain, so its fine if hes not all mushy mushy as long as he is through and doesn't jump to conclusions. I take knowledge over 'personal and nice that blows smoke up your rear' any day!
Sometimes he has more time then others, but if you want to see his inner personality, just look at his socks!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else. And I also have to give a shout out to his PA Cashelle!!!! LOVE her toooooo!!!!!!!

Dr. Paul Sutej is a completely worthless Doctor. I had a life threatening disease and needed urgent brain surgery and he laughed at me, said "why don't you just try and walk" and told me I was depressed with fibro and I was sick because of my own doings. Fast forward a year later, thankfully I saw a good doctor and had the life saving surgery I needed. Went back to tell him he almost cost me my life because of his own arrogance., and he didn't care. RUN don't walk from this scum bag. He has been added to the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Wall of Shame as the worst rheumatologist in Atlanta. If you have serious problems, don't go to him. He is horrible.

Doctors there do not know their own protocol. I went to see Dr Sutej and told him from the first day I was on a certain prescribed medication from another doctor. I asked him if he would prescribe that same medication to me. He said yes in front of myself and my husband. When it came time to refill the prescription he had his office staff call me and tell me "they did not do that type of medication". He assured me from the first day that communicating with his staff and the doctor himself would be quite easy. I found that not to be true. Because I had to call and email until I got a personal phone call from the doctor. He was arrogant and said, yes I may have said that but we are not set up to manage that type of medication. Never once did he apologize for the huge mistake he had made or the way he and his staff had mistreated me. I don't think I want to pay for that type of service or treatment again.

As a medical professional, I can highly recommend Dr. Sutej. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and listens to a patient's concerns. I have colleagues from 10-15 years ago who continue to speak highly of him.

Love this man!! Dr. Sutej did what a sports medicine doctor couldn't do in over 5 visits!! He figured out what was wrong with me in 10 minutes. Conservative in treatment. Awesome sense of humor. All around great doctor. I have personally recommended him on numerous occassions. Thank you Dr. Sutej!!!
