Dr Yee is such a wonderful doctor, he made us feel comfortable and made us laugh all while being a complete professional. He is very thorough and knowledgeable and went above and beyond for us. We are so happy we are lucky to have him in our corner!!

Comes across as super personable and friendly. Is NOT a good clinician nor anywhere near as intelligent as some think.
If you are older don’t quite fit the phenotype go somewhere else.

I am very happy to have been referred to Dr. Yee, he is very caring, easy to talk to, makes appointments fun and casual. He does not have an arrogant demeanour or talk down to his patients, even though it is obvious he is very intelligent.

Right from the first contact with Carol, we knew we were in excellent hands.

A very positive experience with a very knowledgeable physician and scientist. Dr. Yee was warm, funny, and a good listener (characteristics all too rarely found in physicians these days), but even more importantly he was very thorough and knowledgeable. I found he was particularly good at identifying and communicating implications, risks, potential mitigations, and likely outcomes.

I have been seeing Dr. Yee roughly since 2002/2003 and he's one of the best doctors I have ever known.
He's very knowledgeable and takes the time to go through everything and doesn't rush through the appointment compared to other doctors. He's also compassionate, kind, caring, funny, and takes the time to know you as a person before diving into the medical side of things. Thank so much of everything!

I saw Dr Yee a while ago after my 3rd ACL surgery and my surgeon doing the Beighton test (I scored 10/10). So I popped a bunch of pain killers and went in to see him. He was horrible, condescending, and demeaning. At one point he asked me to touch my tongue to my nose, and then sat back and laughed, saying "Hahaha - that doesn't mean anything. I just wanted to see if you were stupid enough to do it". In the end, he said I was "too happy" to have EDS. At the time I had no family history (adopted) so he was obviously too lazy to bother testing. I have since found my biological family and I have an uncle and 2x cousins with EDS. Dr Yee - guess my 2x suicide attempts weren't in vain - is that depressed enough for you??? DO NOT see him for a diagnosis. He is useless - unless you just want to kill yourself.

We first saw Dr Yee in Aug 2019 & finally got the EDS dx for our daughter. He also suspected a metabolic disorder & began the long, slow testing for that dx, which was what he suspected. He then requested some genetic testing for myself & our 2 other children. Thankfully, our other kids don't have the metabolic disorder & he tested 1 of them for a different CTD, which is also thankfully, not the case. Dr Yee has never once pooh-pooh'd anything we/I have had to say or wondered about & in fact, recently arranged some more complex testing for our daughter,at an appt where we discussed some symptoms & my gut feeling on what those symptoms may be indicating. He doesn't just arrange testing because "mom has a feeling", but he does pay attention to parents & their instincts & if he thinks there's something meritorious there, that lines up with symptoms & his expertise, he doesn't hesitate to arrange testing. He is extremely knowledgeable, warm, compassionate beyond belief, funny & I wish they could turn all of that into a vaccine that they gave to anyone starting medical school in any field, so that there were more doctors like him. Dr Yee is the best people.

Dr Yee quite literally saved my life. After years of struggling with a complex health issue that no one seemed to be able to help me with, I thought about ending my life. Dr Yee was recommended to me and he immediately knew not only what was going on with my body but had tangible and actionable solutions that provided me with a dramatically improved quality of life and renewed sense of hope. He always demonstrates genuine care and compassion and has gone the extra mile many times to arrange supports for my healing and wellness. We drive four hours to see him and I would never hesitate to do so. He is an exemplary physician and a true blessing to medicine.

Very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time going over everything. You don't feel rushed and he makes you feel important. Also very funny and immediately put me at ease
