I was a frontline Paratrooper with 7 years of service. Let me tell you, Dr. New and his staff are TRUE PROFESSIONALS.

For people who have called Dr New as arrogant and rude you CLEARLY haven't been in the Australian Defence Force. For you that don't know who he really is, he is also a Major General for the Army Reserve.
SO DON'T EXPECT HIM TO PUSS FOOT AROUND HOLDING YOUR HANDS. It's not what defence people do. Thats why he has more 5 stars than 1 star comments.

Dr New's staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and long standing with Dr New. Which also shows you the kind of man Dr New really is. The times I have had to visit Dr New they were always on top of my paperwork, my appointments and anything that is needed of me. Well done ladies OUTSTANDING effort.

Now for the big man himself. You will never meet a more ethical and professional SURGEON/ STRAIGHT SHOOTER than Dr New. The man has had MANY, MANY, MANY, years in service and his knowledge in his chosen profession is second to none. He doesn't want to speak crap with you and tell you ever thing is going to be alright, he just wants to assess you and get on with whatever needs to be done. As he has always said to me, "Scans don't lie." So, to the others winging on here about scans and tests, THATS WHY."

Dr New also takes his time and does not rush the appointment so he can squeeze someone else in to make more money. He assesses you, tells you the process of whatever is needed to be done, ask you if you have any questions or concerns and sends you on your way. THATS WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN, so the doctors can see more patients instead of patients taking up the doctors' VALUABLE time.

I hope Dr New is around for many more years to come. Thank you for your service as a soldier and a surgeon Dr New.

As a DVA client Dr New's knowledge, compassion and empathy was at the forefront in each appointment and made me feel very comfortable throughout the DVA process, not once did I ever just feel like a number or was I rushed out the door. Dr New was able to send me for all the necessary scans and testing for all my injuries and complete all the required reports requested by DVA. For any veterans out there starting their overwhelming DVA process, I can highly recommend Dr Charles New and his amazing admin team.

I am a 32 years serving veteran of the Australian Army. Dr New was able to provide for a thorough examination of all my ailments from such lengthy service. He was professional, specific, precise and personable through. It is that last quality that is the game changer. Both he and his staff made me feel comfortable despite such a difficult process. DVA creates trauma with their long, complicated, nonsensical processes. Dr New cuts through it with scalpel precision and provides exactly the words to cover the diagnoses that make my life challenging post service. Thanks Dr New. You and your staff are incredible.

Dr Charles New's knowledge of Veteran issues and the treatment needed by the individual is paramount. He understands what is required from a DVA standpoint and helped obtain all the relevant MRIs, X-rays, Nerve testing, etc that were needed. It was definitely worth taking the time to travel from the Central West of NSW for his and his staff's help.

Dr New has the ability to understand first hand the physical issues associated with service in Defence. My Army career spanned 30 plus years as a combat solider and Dr New had first hand knowledge of the injuries associated with this type of service. Dr New was professional in all aspects and diagnosing the many issues that were associated with my specific conditions of service.

To any veterans who needs a complete diagnosis and understanding of their service related injuries it would be highly recommended to book an appointment with Dr New and his staff.
