Dr Evans has been my doctor since about 2006 and not only do I like him, but I like his no-nonsense approach. I regard HIM as the expert who listens to me then diagnoses and treats the problem. The annoying thing is that being originally from Grenada, he tends to operate still on 'Island time'! I have been so happy with his care over the years and was devastated when he told me he is moving to Trenton ON at the end of September. Steer a steady course Steve and I hope you have steady winds. Thanks for being who you are. DM-K

I started seeing Dr Evans at a walk in clinic because of stress related to work and my home life. I was told stress doesn’t exist, that we stress for 10 minutes and it’s done. I was constantly interrupted, I felt like I was fighting a panic attack the entire time he was in the room with me. I took questionnaires for anxiety and depression, which indicated severe for both, and they were ignored. I had to keep going back for a couple months for forms to get filled out. I kept being told I was getting forms filled until I could get my first Covid vaccine. At the last appointment I had with him in May, he continued to tell me I’m not off because of stress, I’m off because I hadn’t been able to get my vaccine yet. I was finally able to contact my family doctor for the first time since I was off, and just from listening for two minutes, my doctor thought there was the possibility I was showing signs of bipolar, and that I was in the middle of a manic episode. I had seen Evans the day before, and he didn’t take the time to ask me anything about what’s going on. I was put on meds until I can be referred to a psychiatrist to get an official diagnosis, but the meds are already helping and I feel better than I have in the past year. I feel like if Evans had listened, a lot of my horrific experiences those months would have been avoided.

Not only is Dr Evans never on time, he doesn’t take the time to do a full review of your symptoms and issues. Twice I have been to see him for a concern and both times he said it wasn’t anything to worry about and sent me home with a prescription. After no relief and getting a second opinion, I find out his diagnosis was incorrect, the prescription he gave would not help and I am being sent to a specialist. It has been a very frustrating 9 months. Don’t waste your time with this Dr.

Dr. Evans is a wonderful doctor. He listens to you and is always calm and supportive. I find it hard to understand why others criticize him. He is the best and I always feel better after I see him and I trust him

I'm really not sure why this doctor gets some bad reviews and negative opinions about his perceived arrogance. I thought he was great and i would go back fir future visits.

Dr Evans has been my doctor for over 15 years and has journeyed with me through divorce and the death of my mom and now menopause. He is kind, caring and compassionate AND is up to date on therapies. He insisted I go to an endocrinologist for the best diabetes management because I was doing a poor job on my own. I know for a fact, he listens intently and when he asks "how am I doing" he is looking for a truthful response to be able to properly address the situation
