Horrible doctor. Laughably unprofessional. I don't think I've ever felt so unwelcomed in my life. Dr. Lipscomb is incapable of being caring and decent to his patients. The incompetence and inability to perform his job is astounding.

I cannot believe what a very Bad visit I had on Oct.19, 2021 with his Nurse and Dr. Lipscomb. I was referred by the Dr. I am going to. To see if Dr. Lipscomb could help me.. Not just the headaches I have been having. I checked each box on a Ipad you had to sign in on. Just because his Nurse being so rude to me on questions about surgeries I had over my 77 years in my Lifetime. I had told them and called so I could be able to fill out some paperwork on Medications, and Surgeries that I wanted to fill out paperwork here home, so I could answer those questions. It would had help me so much. They said I would be filling in on IPad after coming to this Dr. LIPSCOMB. Is Nurse made me so Nervous I could not even think.. I noticed on Dr. LIPSCOMB Bio..that he was trained in other fields of Medicine. The boxes I checked I thought maybe he could help me in some of Pain in my Back including my spine, shoulder, neck, and all my Mucles from head to toe. I really think the Dr. That I am going to was thinking the samething. The office staff told me when I called they had received my Medical records from the Dr. I finally got into and really like because I tried my best to find a Dr. On line that was taking Patients when I called they were not taking Patients. The Nurse ask me who was my Dr.'s . I had been to 2 Doctor's after coming back here to live after living in Birmingham. Which I had the best... I left the first Dr. Because the Medication I could not take after about 5 years and then changed to another Dr. and she kept me on the same drugs. I was with her about 3 years. I could not get her when I would call because of being out of Town. I was a Mess..Also had to be go to the hospital myself because of a very bad Bacteria that had gotten in to my stomach. I don't have but 40% of my Colon left.. I then felt like OMG I need to be in with a Doctor that would have some knowledge about my Situations and all the autoimmune diseases I have. I was so Sick and still am.. He did the best he could. A lot of Medications I could not take. On these medications I from these Doctor's I could not even get around especially Pain Medications. The Dr I was going to left his practice to retire. That is why I had to go to the Urgent Care. It was a Dr. Their that I ask him if he could take me for a Patient. The Nurse checked with my Insurance and They said YES!!! He was so good about taking me off of these Pain Medications. I have been on for along time also a Antidepressant. I am also weak. This Dr. I am going to wanted me to see a neurologist thinking. I looked up Dr. Gregory R Lipscomb. I then saw his Bio.
Issue's I have that he might could help me. All of this has been real disturbing to me. I really couldn't get sleep last night after being put in the situation with this Nurse that was so Rude. She started with asking questions so fast and I could not answer her especially in the shape she put me in.
Maybe that is her Nature..I want them to know just how it made me feel. Also I was asking for "help" and not Drugs if they thought I was in their for. On some of these Drugs I took my own self off. My Daughter was a registered nurse and worked in ICU. was a very good Nurse for 22 year's. My Son spent 6 years in the Marines, has all kinds of Certificates from graduateing out of the Marines, then went with
Company as a Supervisor over Aircraft. Company
kept laying off he stayed 13 yr's.
He wanted better because of having a Family and then went with taking courses at night. At U.A B. In Birmingham got a degree in Perumedic's still working on Weekends and also working during the Week as Captain with the Fire Department. He has all kinds of Certificates with the Fire Department. I never had problems with my Now grown Children. My Son, Daughter and 3 Grandchildren, are in the Medical field. They have Prayed for me since being back in Montgomery Ala. after living in Birmingham. Montgomery his my Home. They have wanted me to get Well. . I was going Back and forth to Birmingham to my Doctor's their. I was in Such bad shape I could not ride in the Car back and forth. I want the Nurse to know that I had my Medications down on Paper that I carry with me to let first responders know about Medications that I cannot take. I had changed Purses and My Billfold. Not a crazy person. I also have Advanced Directive in Birmingham. Know I have got to get one Here. My Son is coming as soon as he can to go to a Lawyer to help us draw up a Will and Testament as soon as he can. I want my Kids in on this. My husband takes 3 Medications his is written down just did not say anything. Not stupid either.. Been Blessed that over a the years he has not really had to take any Medications. For working for 50 years and retiring. Thank you for letting me come to your Office for really not learning anything. May God Bless all of you.. Shirley Ann Vines

I went to Dr. Lipscomb’s office in January for debilitating back pain after going to a chiropractor for a week. My pain was so bad, I couldn’t even sit up straight in the chair. When he finally arrived in the room and my husband and I began describing my pain, he treated me as if I was faking it and just wanted to “score some pain pills.” I underwent nerve testing in my legs and was instructed to go get an MRI across town. A few days later, a staff member called me and very casually told me that I had spinal stenosis and also a growth in my pelvic area. Pain medication was prescribed immediately, and I was referred to a neurosurgeon (who treated me with compassion and human decency). I never heard from Dr. Lipscomb. I guess he felt ashamed of rushing to an insulting stereotypical judgment on me. I will NEVER go to him again, nor will I recommend anyone else go to him for pain treatment. What a terrible experience.

When I shared with him that I had been stressed over my pain issues, he offered me Bible verses and a referral to a hypnotist. I am now being treated at the Alabama Pain Physicians who don't believe my pain is all in my head. Dr. Lipscomb was a very disappointing experience.

Dr Gregory Lipscomb needs to be brought before whatever review board you guys have. My wife saw him today, and he was the most apothetic, uncaring, lazy, elitist, poor excuse for a physician Ive ever come across. My wife saw him off of a referral based on MRI results for a back injury, and severe back pain. He acted as though he didnt have the time of day for her...He prescribed her flexeril, even after she told him she was unable to function taking this medication. He refused to listen and said that was all he could do...And on top of that, when she went to pick the prescription from the pharmacy, she was informed that Lipscombs office never called it in. This guy needs to be held accountable, otherwise his office will be hearing from my lawyer!!!
