I was hospitalized at Grand River for my mental illness and Dr. Al-Battran showed me absolutely no compassion or empathy. He did not listen to me, made assumptions about me and I never received the help I needed. He decided to 'blame' me for having a mental illness and labelled me as 'lazy' instead of actually providing treatment. Please don't believe these 'positive reviews' if you are seeking help for a mental illness.

Make sure to ask Dr. Al Battran if he got his covid - 19 vaccine jab. It was mandatory that all Ontario hospital workers get vaccinated or would be on leave from work.

This doctor did damage that has taken years to undo. He clearly made up his mind before meeting me. He was difficult to get a hold of and when he did see me would purposely try to distress me to see how I would respond. He would regularly deny making statements that other staff witnessed him make (and verbally confirmed that he did say).

This is a very helpful doctor. Took the time to call us back and discuss best options with our mom. Found him to be very considerate and answered questions clearly and concisely. We appreciated his insight and ability to put perspective on the situation. I would highly recommend Dr. Mazin Al-Battran.

He does not llisten to my issues, he seems to only attack his patients when being assessed, terrible communication, and also didn’t get me the help I felt I needed. I had to go out of my way to get help because of his lack of consistency and manner.

Dr. Al-Battran is a wonderful doctor. He is kind, compassionate, caring & he listens to what you have to say. We never felt rushed or like he wanted to move on to the next patient. He doesn't push medication that is not necessary or drug you up to shut you up like I've heard other doctors do (although that hasn't been our experience here in Kitchener at all thankfully!). It has been a pleasure working with him and we thank you for everything!

He is the best! Kind, thoughtful, considerate. He listens! He does not push meds as an answer to everything. Wonderful personality. He has a real gift for what he does!
