I felt validated in my outrage when reading other posts. Arrogant - check Dismissive - check Condescending- check. I’m actually not even sure why I’m followed by him he does nothing for me or my case. Took none of my concerns seriously, passed them off as another one of my specialists responsibilities. I’m sorry are you not my anticoagulation specialist? I’m pretty sure that means you’re responsible for my case’s coagulation concerns. His nurse practitioners are really the ones following his cases and keeping the illusion of quality care alive. He wasn’t even listening to what I was saying and asking in my appointment this week and when I reviewed his notes on the portal after, it confirmed that because he hadn’t gotten it right. I also see an inaccurate diagnosis in his previous reporting, I’ll have to cross check that with cardiology then get it corrected. His attitude and approach is reckless and negligent. If he were a veterinarian he’d have lost his license by now, it’s messed up that our pets doctors are held to a higher standard than our own. I will be pursuing a referral to someone as qualified and more engaged with their patients. He cancels and reschedules on the regular which sadly is the least of my concerns with him. I use to feel more comfortable being under his care when his nurse practitioners were more engaged but now even they don’t respond to emails so at this point I feel in a crisis my life is in jeopardy. If you’re doctor refers you to this man refuse it and ask for someone better. This guy stopped giving a f$&@ ages ago.

I was scheduled for a zoom conference however they never sent me the link. I tried calling the office on many occasions. Left messages, but no one ever got back to me.

Same bad experience as all the other raterd, condescending arrogant, i am my moms caretaker full time, kept asking about bloid thinners, told him mom had black stool, excruciating back pain waking up every half hour, after removing blood thinner, she was better and able to deal with the pain, just kept repeating i will make my recommendation to her gp, never told me what recommendation, im the one he should be communicating with, i look after my mom 7 days a week yet he gets paid for his useless advice, i dont get paid and treated like an idiot by him, told him mom already has a cardiologist who listens, do yourself a favor stay away from him, dont even go to him if you have an emergency, my recommendation is that this dr is out of touch with the patients and caregivers, lack of respect and arrogant, doesnt listen to anyone who is not a doctor, he doesnt need any appointments with patients cuz he just ignores you, retire dr yeo

When you have a life threatening condition, how can a physician effectively treat it over the phone? I understand COVID restrictions have made things tough, but they are even tougher when there's no way to reach staff and calls go straight to VM. Further, when the ED doctor paged him, he didn't return the call. Who does that?

If you are looking for a doctor that is only interested in perscrubing drugs, not listening to your concerns, and constantly being arrogant ... this man is for you. Look elsewhere , he does not take care of his patients. Seek another specialists... worst mistake ever...

Rude. Arrogant. He is not compassionate about his patients. His secretary never picks up the phone or returns messages. My lovingly advice is to find another doctor similar to him as he pushes his agenda...when you question his actions he does not like it. Avoid him. It's not a pleasant experience.

Dr. Yeo was late, rude, arrogant and generally just a prick. He seemed inconvenienced by the fact that he had to actually do his job. When you ask him questions, he answers you in such a condescending way that you feel like you don't have a right to know your own medical situation. I ended up with Dr. Yeo because my previous haematologist retired. Time to start looking for other options.

He was treating me for DVT at Toronto General hospital's DVT clinic. He said he would send me for cancer screening which he said was probably the cause of my clotting. On my next visit he said that again, 6 months later he again said..."I'm going to send you for cancer screening". He never did. 2+ yrs later I was having heart palpitations from my Rivaroxaban so he changed me to Apixaban and cut the dose from 10mg/ day to 5mg/day and said I'll get back to you to see how you are doing. He never called me back. Within 3 months on this new drug and halved doseage I was hospitalized with a "massive" clot in my left calf, numerous sub massive lung clots. The doctor treating me at Birchmount hospital told me he found out that Dr. Erik Yeo discharged me as a patient without telling me after changing my med. This doctor told me Dr. Erik Yeo "failed me severely" and said my chances of surviving this clotting episode was 50/50. "All he should have done was not change meds but he should have added a heart pill for the palpitations" he said. I am now on Lovenox injections for a month which cost me over $1,000 because I have no drug plan or insurance, and a heart pill for the palpitaions. If you have this Dr. Erik Yeo for a doctor I warn you to go elsewhere for your DVT treatment, as he may well kill you as he's possibly done to me. I now have been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer, my life will probably end soon.

My Father and Mother had blood clots the same as me and my brothers and sister... Dr. Glynn was the head of the thrombosis unit at TGH and Dr. Yeo was working with Dr. Glynn... sadly Dr.Glynn died and Dr.Yeo took over... over 40 years ago... Dr. Yeo has been one of the best doctors for me and for my Father... he has so many patients that I know sometimes he cant keep up... but he has been the most honest... and helpful... even after my stroke he helped me so much... thank you Dr. Yeo... I cant thankyou enough...
