From my first visit with Dr Goel I could see that he cares for his patient. I have been his patient for 2 years now and shave not change my opinion. I am very lucky to have him has my oncologist.

Terrible bedside manner. Totally unprofessional when ordering my husband out of the room when wanting to examine my breasts - without a nurse present! I notice that I am not alone with this complaint. Find another medical oncologist!

I found him unwilling to answer straightforward questions. He attended my consultation clearly without having read my file and depended only on a resident for background, as far as I could tell. As such, he provided incomplete information and has made my decision making process far more difficult. I’m sure he’s competent, but at such an important point in your treatment, a patient deserves proper communication and a doctor willing to address fundamental parts of the treatment.

Dr. Goel is a great oncologist. I trust him 100%. I have been his patient for 4 years. Aside from his professional knowledge he is a serious, well manered and charming doctor

Dr. Goel is the most terrible doctor. Do not see this guy. He literally mistreated my cousin. We will be launching a law suit against him and will do all I can to have his licence taken away.

I’ve been seeing Dr Goel for one year. I found that he explained treatment options and prognosis extremely well to me. I had done a lot of research, and always had many questions. He always answered every question I had and put my mind at ease. He knows his stuff and I trust him 100%.

Refused to let me tape the appointment. What does he have to hide? Examines female patients without a nurse present. Also asks that the person the patient brings with them not be in the room, which is beyond inappropriate.
If a patient wants someone present it is not for the doctor to decide. This is against Ottawa Hospital policy.
