My elderly mother was referred to Dr. Ward and we visited him at South Health Campus. Nadine, his nurse, was very kind. Dr. Ward was extremely thorough in explaining kidney failure, lab results, options and follow up. He is a sincere and compassionate doctor and we feel very fortunate to have been referred to him.

Met Dr.Ward with my father who is a dialysis patient new to Calgary. Amazing first visit. Patient, kind, understanding, thorough and listened. He answered every question we had and put my father at ease with starting with a new nephrologist and care team. We are lucky to be under his care.

It was so important to me to have a forward thinking, attentive, knowledgeable Doctor who could provide the various options, the pros and cons of each, and the willingness to try various approaches to my medical program. The most amazing doctor I've met thus far; he is super patient and goes out of his way to help us. We've had to contact his secretary many times due to issues and side effects with my grandfather's medications. Even on his day off he made sure my grandfather got the medication that he needed by calling into our local pharmacy and as well as checking up on my grandfather through calls. He is also very knowledgable and preemptive. His secretary is amazing as well, as she organizes everything for him, from appointments to sending out requsition forms/instructions for the appointment and getting the help we need from Dr. Ward. The only down side to Dr. Ward is he is always so busy and over booked so getting an appointment is usually hard.

Dr. David Ward is one of the best doctors I've got the chance to meet. He has genuinely cares about his patients. He has gone above and beyond for my grandpa. He does not shrug it off, or put an act like what I see from some doctors. You can tell from his demeanor that he is someone you'd like to befriend. Super helpful and warming. He is the doctor that other doctors should strive to be.
