He is an absolute terrible Doctor. I can't get a hold of him, can't speak with him, nothing.
My condition has gone worst, This Doctor does NOT care at all, he doesn't even follow up. THIS DOCTOR DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATENTS AT ALL. This doctor is NOT interested in treating patients at all. I can’t stress enough about how terrible he is and how much he just doesn’t care about his patient’s health. I am desperately looking for a new Gastroenterologist as I literally feel like I’m dying from pain and loosing so much blood every day.
If someone can please help me find another gastroenterologist i would be so grateful.

My first colonoscopy and visits with this Doctor go back to 2011, but I have since got my Crohns disease under control with an alternative gastroenterologist. Over the years I have processed my experience with this Doctor and feel the need to express his poor bedside manner. He was very unsympathetic, matter-of-fact, and abrupt. No concern for the actual person behind the disease. I did not trust him and as a result, grew sicker until I found another specialist who could truly come alongside me and help me. It was an unfortunate experience that I would not want anyone else to go through.

Met this doctor the first time where he dismissed all my symptoms and made me feel like I was lying about my illness and told me he would be right back. Than the nurse told me I had been discharged. He never came back. He is not willing to listen or answer questions. The colonoscopy and tests were on time, quick, painless but as for information and sharing of ideas or questioning anything he is not responsive.

I had and still have an issue with my GI tract. The doctor Sutcliffe even did not want to look into my issue as he was alleging nothing is wrong. I am still in pain. The doctor sees patients like numbers, never interested in treating.

First encounter with Dr. Ian Sutcliffe was in the procedure room where the colonoscopy was to be performed. He was helpful, reassuring and did an amazing job. Very kind, charismatic and knowledgeable. I must say among all the physicians whom I have dealt with h is the best in all aspects. Not only does he listen to you attentively but also patiently answers every single question you ask. He truly cared about me as a patient and offered solutions. Highly recommend him. Awesome kind and caring. Things most doctors lack these days. Couldn't have had a better doctor than him. Had a colonscopy procedure at Gatineau Hospital and he was very knowledgeable and had excellent bedside manner. Thanks

Not impressed; spent less than 5 minutes talking to me after a year of suffering and flat out said he didn't do anything before a colonoscopy which is the only thing their clinic does. Wouldn't even consider other diagnostic options including dietary restrictions so I asked my GP for another referral with an actual gastro specialist instead of scope salesman.
