While he definitely knows his stuff, he can be quite chatty, bordering on inappropriate and unwanted advice outside of his specialty (like on my relationship and parenting).

I currently see Dr. Clarke for vision therapy after a mild traumatic brain injury caused by a concussion. Many people don't know that somewhere between 50% and 90% of the human brain does some form of visual processing, and so when someone has ongoing vision difficulties after suffering a traumatic brain injury it affects their overall quality of life. Dr. Clarke easily identified the specific functional problems with my vision caused by my brain injury and then provided simple vision exercises to correct these problems. After two months of vision therapy, I am finally feeling more like a human being and am on track to getting my life back. I can't thank Dr. Clarke enough for his neuro-optometric expertise. My one complaint would be that it took a long time to get an initial appointment for the assessment and then another few weeks to get my first vision therapy appointment. Unlike regular optometric patients, those of us with ocular-motor profile brain injuries are like shells of our former selves until we can get treatment. I wish Dr. Clarke's office had a way of prioritizing brain injury patients so we would not have to wait so long. Other than that, I am extremely impressed with Dr. Clarke's practice.

Dr. Clarke has been my Optometrist for over a decade now. I followed two family members who only had positive comments about his service. Dr. Clarke is very thorough and provides a holistic view, which I appreciate. Clearly everything is connected and the eyes do provide insight to what health issues may exist. Luckily, I am in good health! Key to maintaining healthy eyes is to ensure appropriate lighting for the various activities one undertakes.

We have seen Dr Clarke for the past 2 years. He was referred to us after our son had a concussion. He’s very professional and pays to all the little details we had to say. We love visiting with him and even not seeing him for a year because now we do a routine examination to keep on top of things, he remembers lots about the patient. He has a remarkable talent. He makes you feel part of his family and explains everything in black and white so everyone can understand. I would recommend him. Thanks for everything.
